1. How many watts does a fridge use?Samsung refrigerators can use between 215 to 785 kWh/year , depending on the model and size. For more energy-efficient models, you can expect the lower end of this range. Check the product specifications for precise details on wattage.
-
2. What's the standard fridge size?Standard refrigerators usually range from 28 to 36 inches (71 to 91 cm) in width, 60 to 70 inches (152 to 178 cm) in height, and 24 to 34 inches (61 to 86 cm) in depth. However, sizes can vary based on the model and type of fridge, so it's always a good idea to measure your space before making a selection.

3. What are counter-depth fridge dimensions?Generally, counter-depth fridges measure around 24 to 30 inches (61 to 76 cm) in depth, 30 to 36 inches (76 to 91 cm) in width, and 67 to 70 inches (170 to 178 cm) in height. These dimensions can slightly vary by model. Counter-depth refrigerators are designed to align flush with your counter edges, giving your kitchen a sleek, built-in look.
Please note that the depth of most cabinets is 24 inches (61 cm), but this dimension can vary if you have custom cabinetry. The door and handles will always stick out from the cabinets since they need to open at a 90-degree angle. -
4. Counter Depth vs. Standard Fridge: What's the difference? The main difference is depth of the fridge. Counter-depth fridges are shallower, aligning with countertops for a seamless look - while standard fridges extend beyond the counters, offering more storage space.
Note that for counter-depth fridges, the door and handles will stick out from the cabinets because they need to open at 90 degrees. -
5. Do all Samsung fridges use the same water filter? Not all Samsung fridges use the same water filter. The filter required can vary depending on the refrigerator model. Check the specific model's manual or product information to see its filter type.
-
6. Built-in vs Freestanding fridge: What's the difference?Built-in fridges are designed to integrate seamlessly with your cabinetry, offering a custom, high-end look. Freestanding fridges are more versatile in placement and typically more cost-effective. Your choice depends on your kitchen layout and personal style preference.

7. How do I register my Samsung fridge on SmartThings?By registering your home appliances in the SmartThings app, you can remotely access and control them, set up automated routines, and receive notifications and alerts.
Here’s a step-by-step guide for connecting a Samsung fridge to SmartThings:
• Make sure your fridge is turned on.
• Open the SmartThings app on your phone .
• Tap the Devices tab at the bottom of the screen, and then tap the Add icon (the plus sign).
• Choose your preferred option (Scan QR Code, scan for nearby devices, by device type, or by brand) to register your refrigerator.
• If required, tap Start.
• Some appliances may require you to set up AP (access point) mode before they can be registered with the SmartThings app. To do this, simply follow the instructions provided on your phone's screen. You may be required to press a specific button or enter a code on your appliance’s control panel.
• Wait until the registration process is completed.
• If required, set the name of the home appliance and choose the location and room. Then, tap Done.
• You can easily control your home appliances from the SmartThings app by accessing their specific remote control screens. This allows you to manage various features and settings of your connected appliances, giving you more control over their operation.
