How do I reset my smartphone to factory default settings? (OS Version 4.4)

If you wish to reset your smartphone, perform the Factory Data Reset by following these steps:


Note:

■  Images were taken from a device with Android OS version 4.1.2. By performing Factory Data Reset, you will lose all data saved on your device. We highly advise that you secure or back up all of your important files prior performing the below steps.

■  If you upgraded your phone's OS, Factory Data Reset will not revert the OS back to the previous version.

 

Step 1: On Home screen, tap Apps.

Step 2: On Apps screen, tap Settings.

Step 3: Under Settings, scroll down and tap on Back up and reset.

Step 4: Tap Factory data reset.

Step 5: Tap Reset device.

Step 6: Enter your unlock pattern, or PIN (when asked), if there is any.

Step 7: Tap Erase everything.
