How to Backup and restore the system on the Galaxy TabPro S

Keep your personal information, app data, and settings safe on your device. Back up sensitive information using Samsung Recovery. See the steps below on how to Backup data:

 

Backing up the current system

 

Step 1: Connect an external storage device.

 

Note: A Samsung Multiport Adapter is needed to connect any external devices to the TabPro S. This accessory is sold separately.

 
Step 2: On the taskbar, tap Start start  > All apps > Samsung > Samsung Recovery.

 

Step 3: Tap Backup Management > New backup.


 

 

Step 4: Enter backup information and select the external storage device.


Step 5: Tap Backup.

 

Step 6: When the backup starts, a window will appear. Tap Yes.

 

Step 7: When the backup is completed, a window will appear. Tap OK.

 
When the backup is finished, the backup image will appear on the backup management screen.

 

 

Restoring the System

Restore the device to its factory default settings, or to a previous recovery point. Before performing a factory data reset, ensure to back up all important data stored on the device.

 

Note: Back up important data to an external storage device regularly to prevent restore.

 

Step 1: On the taskbar, tap Start Start.


Step 2: Tap All apps.


Step 3: Tap Samsung.


Step 4: Tap Samsung Recovery.


Step 5: Tap Factory image.

 


Step 6: Tap Recover.


Step 7: Then tap OK.

 

 

Restoring to a Backup Point

Select a backup point saved on an external storage device to restore the device to that point.

Step 1: Connect the external storage device to the device.


Step 2: On the taskbar, tap Start start> All apps > Samsung > Samsung Recovery.


Step 3: Tap Backup Management, select a backup image, and then tap Recover.


Step 4: Tap Recover.
