What to do if my air conditioner won't turn on

Last Update date : Feb 10. 2023

If the air conditioner does not power on, you can get your air conditioner back to working condition by checking a few things, like the circuit breaker, fuse, and the outlet that the unit is plugged into.

Inspect the power cord

Inspect the power cord for any damage. If it's damaged, do not plug it back in, and visit the Service Center to request service.

Check the power outlet

  • It can be a temporary problem. Unplug and plug it back in after 30 seconds for the product resetting.
  • Your air conditioner may not turn on because of a faulty power cord interrupting the power supply. Test the outlet you are using with a different appliance and see if it receives power. If it does not, contact an electrician for help with the outlet.

WARNING!

Use a power cord with this product's power specifications or higher and use the power cord for this appliance only. In addition, do not use an extension cord. Extending the power cord may result in electric shock or fire

Check the circuit breakers

If your AC unit still does not work, check if the breaker used for the air conditioner was tripped on your main electrical panel. Turn on the circuit breaker carefully.

WARNING!

  • Do not pull or excessively bend the power line. Do not twist or tie the power line. Do not hook the power line over a metal object, place a heavy object on the power line, insert the power line between objects, or push the power line into the space behind the appliance.
  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  • When the circuit breaker is damaged, contact your nearest service center.
