The Galaxy Walkathon is held in support of the Singapore Heart Foundation's (SHF) heart health movement. With this event, Samsung Singapore will make a donation to SHF to fund its programmes and initiatives in promoting heart health in Singapore.

  • What is the Galaxy Walkathon?

    The Galaxy Walkathon, powered by Samsung Health, is a community wellness event held in celebration of SG61, inviting Singaporeans to come together and take steps towards healthier living. Participants will complete an approximately 5 km walking route around the Kallang precinct, equivalent to around 6,100 steps for most participants, before exploring activities at the National Stadium Experience.
  • The Galaxy Walkathon is open to individuals who have successfully registered for the event. Participants should ensure they are medically fit to complete the approximately 5 km walking route and comply with all event rules and instructions from event officials.
  • No. Participation is free of charge. Participants are welcome to make a voluntary donation to the Singapore Heart Foundation in support of its heart health initiatives.
  • Yes. Participants of all ages are welcome. Participants below 18 years of age must be accompanied and supervised by a parent, legal guardian or responsible adult throughout the event. Registration for minors must be completed by their parent or legal guardian. Strollers are permitted and must be used safely and responsibly at all times.
  • No. Everyone is welcome to participate regardless of the device they use. However, selected activities, experiences and rewards may be available exclusively to Samsung device owners.
  • I signed up but I'm no longer able to attend. What should I do?

    If your plans have changed, please let us know as soon as possible so we can release your slot to another participant. Event entitlements, including event packs, are available only to registered participants who attend the event, while stocks last.
  • If registration has closed, on-site registration may be available only if capacity permits. As on-site registration is not guaranteed, please follow Samsung Singapore's official channels for updates.
  • On-site registration may be available only if capacity permits and is entirely at the organiser's discretion. We encourage you to register in advance to secure your slot.
  • A confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address within 72 hours once your registration has been successfully processed.
  • No. Registrations are non-transferable. Anyone who wishes to participate must submit their own registration form.
  • No. Once your registration has been submitted, changes to your registration details cannot be made. Please ensure all information is accurate before submitting your form.
  • Where duplicate registrations are submitted for the same participant, only the first valid registration will be processed. The organiser reserves the right to disregard duplicate or incomplete submissions.
  • Eligible participants can collect their event T-shirt at Samsung Experience Store VivoCity during the official collection period:

    - 10 September (Thursday): 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
    - 11 September (Friday): 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
    - 12 September (Saturday): 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM

    Please bring the following for verification:

    - Your event registration confirmation email (digital or printed copy)
    - Your NRIC or other valid photo identification

    Collection is subject to stock availability and verification.
  • If you are unable to collect your T-shirt during the collection period, you may:

    - Collect it on the event day, subject to verification; or
    - Authorise someone to collect it on your behalf. Your representative must present your event registration confirmation email, a signed authorisation letter, and a copy of your NRIC or other valid photo identification for verification.
    Uncollected event T-shirts are not guaranteed after the official collection period.
  • Participants should ensure they are medically fit to take part in the event. If you have any pre-existing medical condition or concerns about your ability to participate, please seek medical advice before registering.
  • The organiser reserves the right to amend the event programme, route, schedule, venue or event arrangements, or to postpone, suspend or cancel the event where necessary for operational, safety or other reasons.
  • How long is the course? Where are the Start and Finish points?

    The Galaxy Walkathon features a 5 km walking route around the Kallang precinct, allowing participants to clock at least 6,100 steps in celebration of SG61.

    The Start and Finish points are both located at the National Stadium, with the route forming a loop through the surrounding Kallang precinct. A detailed route map will be shared with registered participants closer to the event.
  • The Galaxy Walkathon is a non-competitive community walk and will not be timed. There is no required walking pace, and participants are welcome to walk at a comfortable pace. However, for operational continuity around the precinct, all participants are required to complete the route by 10:00 AM. Participants who are unable to complete the route by 10:00 AM may be required to leave the route at the organiser's direction to facilitate event operations.
  • Participants are required to arrive at the venue by 7:00 AM for registration and pre-event activities. The walk will be flagged off in waves. Your preferred flag-off wave will be selected during registration, and your confirmed flag-off time will be sent to your registered email address at least three (3) days before the event, subject to availability.
  • Pets are not permitted on the walking route. However, they are welcome in designated public areas around the Kallang precinct.
  • Yes. Light refreshments will be provided for all registered participants while stocks last.
  • No, baggage deposit services will not be available at the event. As the Galaxy Walkathon is a light, non-competitive 5 km walk, we encourage participants to pack light and bring only essential items.
  • The event will proceed in light rain. In the event of severe weather or where conditions are considered unsafe by the organiser or relevant authorities, the organiser reserves the right to delay, modify, suspend or cancel the event without prior notice.
  • Yes. A water station will be available along the walking route, and drinking water will also be provided at the Finish Village inside the National Stadium. We encourage participants to stay hydrated and bring their own water bottle for convenience.
  • While it is not mandatory, we strongly encourage participants to wear their official Galaxy Walkathon event T-shirt to show their support, foster a sense of community, and make the event even more memorable. Participants are also encouraged to wear comfortable attire and suitable footwear for walking.
  • Participants should wear comfortable clothing and suitable walking footwear appropriate for outdoor conditions. We also encourage participants to use sun protection (e.g. hats, sunscreen and sunglasses) and to stay well hydrated throughout the event.
  • Your safety is our priority. Participants should only take part if they are medically fit to do so.
    If you feel unwell at any point during the walk, please stop immediately and alert the nearest event marshal or medical personnel for assistance. Medical support will be available on-site throughout the event.

    If you are unable to complete the route, event staff will assist you and direct you to the appropriate support or designated recovery area as needed.
  • No. Bicycles, skateboards, roller skates, rollerblades, kick scooters, e-scooters, hoverboards and similar wheeled devices are not permitted on the walking route for safety reasons.
  • Yes. Route signage and event marshals will be positioned along the course to assist participants. A detailed route map and event guide will also be shared with registered participants closer to the event.
  • Yes. The organiser reserves the right to refuse or revoke participation, or requireany participant to leave the event at any time if, in the organiser's reasonable opinion, it is necessary for the safety, security or well-being of participants, staff or members of the public, or for the orderly conduct of the event. This includes, but is not limited to, participants who fail to comply with the event rules or the instructions of event officials and marshals, or whose behaviour or equipment may pose a safety risk.
  • What will participants receive?

    The first 750 registered participants will receive an exclusive Galaxy Walkathon event T-shirt to be collected before the event. After the walk, all registered participants will also enjoy refreshments and receive exclusive goodies from Samsung and our event partners, while stocks last.
  • No. The Galaxy Walkathon is a non-competitive community wellness event, so there will not be any race winners or rankings. The focus is on coming together to stay active, celebrate SG61, and enjoy the experience.
  • No. All prizes, rewards, and event entitlements are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
  • Yes. Official photographers and videographers will be present throughout the event. By participating, you acknowledge that photographs and videos may be taken and used by Samsung for marketing, publicity, and event-related purposes. Event highlights may also be shared on Samsung Singapore's official website and social media channels.
