Singapore – 5 April, 2017 – Samsung today announced the availability of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+, the smartphone that pushes the boundaries of traditional smartphones with its seamless hardware design and variety of new service offerings.

 

Building upon a heritage of stunning designs and functional devices, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ come in a large 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch display respectively, but in a compact build. Equipped with an Infinity Display, featuring a bezel-less design that forms a smooth and continuous surface with no buttons or harsh angles, the Galaxy S8 and S8+ are set to engage users with a truly immersive viewing experience.

 

In addition to these new design innovations, Samsung continues to deliver innovative technology, with the Galaxy S8 and S8+ boasting advanced front and rear cameras, powerful performance, upgraded security features and a robust entertainment platform.

 

Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ Pre-Order

Registration of interest¹ with telecommunication operators for the Galaxy S8 and S8+ will commence from 7 April 2017, Friday, 12 noon.

The Galaxy S8 and S8+ will be available from 29 April 2017 at the recommended retail price of $1,148 and $1,298 respectively. Available in colour options of Maple Gold, Midnight Black and Orchid Gray, the devices will be available at all local telecommunication operators, major consumer electronics stores, authorised mobile retailers, Samsung Experience Stores and Lazada Singapore.

 

Accompanying the Galaxy S8 and S8+, each box will come packed with in-box accessories including:

Customers who purchase a Galaxy S8 or S8+ can enjoy 20% off their purchase of any original Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ accessories or purchase a Starter Kit (includes a Wireless Charger Stand, Micro USB Cable, Clear Cover and Screen Protector) at a discounted price of $98 (U.P. $168)⁶.

Samsung Concierge

 

With the launch of the Galaxy S8 and S8+, the devices will be included as new eligible products for Samsung Concierge, Samsung’s service programme developed specifically for its customers in Singapore. Providing all-round convenience and assurance for Galaxy smartphone users, Samsung Concierge offers customers a suite of premium value-added services, including benefits such as yearly device upgrade, one-to-one exchange, on-site servicing or repair, discounted out-of-warranty repairs and data switching assistance for a one-time payment (per device) of $38 (inclusive of GST).

 

Consumers who have previously purchased the Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 edge with Samsung Concierge will be eligible for the yearly upgrade to either the Galaxy S8 or S8+ with their upgrade

 

penalty fee waived if they intend to make the upgrade through their respective telecommunication operator⁷. Users who purchased the Galaxy S7 or S7 edge and Samsung Concierge from Samsung Experience Stores⁸ will get to enjoy a $350 off when upgrading to the Galaxy S8 or S8+.
