Display and Notification Guide for Tumble Dryer

When there is an common issue that requires checking, your dryer will display text and icons to notify you. Here is a quick guide on the icons and text notifications you might see.

Display & Notifications

  • Filter Clean Alarm
  • Check Filter Alarm
  • Child Lock
  • Damp Alert
  • Water Tank Full
  • Heat Exchanger Clean Alarm
  • Unlock alarm of Heat Exchanger inner cover

Settings

  • Language Setting
  • Alarm On/Off

Note: Indicator or compartment images may vary depending on the dryer model.

Filter Clean Alarm / Check Filter Alarm

After powering on the dryer, 'Clean the filter before use' will be displayed as a default message before the start. (It will disappear promptly.)
If the LED panel displays 'Check Filter', open the door and check that the lint filter is installed correctly. Also, clean the filter if needed. 

Note: 

  • It is recommended to clean the lint filter before every load.

Child Lock

When the Child Lock is activated, all buttons are disabled except for the power and icon buttons. To activate or deactivate the Child Lock,
 

Step 1. Tap the icon button.

Step 2. Turn the Navigation dial to select ‘Child Lock’.

Step 3. Tap O to select On or Off.

Damp Alert

If you set the Damp Alert, the indicator will blink when the clothes inside have dried enough to be ironed.  When alerted, take out items that you wish to hang dry or iron.
 

Step 1. Select a cycle and change the cycle settings as necessary.

Step 2. Tap the icon.

Step 3. Turn the Navigation dial to select ‘Damp Alert’

Step 4. Tap O to set.

Step 5. Tap and hold the button to start. 

Note: 

  • Damp Alert is available for Cotton, Synthetics, Mixed Load, and Silent Dry with the Dry Level set to 2 or 3.

Water Tank Full

If the dryer displays the ‘Empty the tank’ message and stops operating, check the water tank. 

Heat Exchanger Clean Alarm

When it is time to clean the Heat Exchanger, the dryer will alert you by displaying the ‘Clean Heat Exchanger’ message.

If the ‘Check Heat Exchanger’ alarm continues, check the inner cover of the Heat Exchanger by opening the cover and removing it. After washing, reinsert the inner cover and make sure it is locked correctly. 

Language Setting

System languages can be set for your convenience.
 

Step 1. Tap and hold the icon button for 3 seconds. 

Step 2. Turn the Navigation dial to select Language.

Step 3. Tap O to select language.

Step 4. When you select language, tap O to set. 

Alarm On/Off

You can turn on or off the alarm sound at the end of the cycle if you need. 
 

Step 1. Tap and hold the icon button for 3 seconds. 

Step 2. Turn the Navigation dial to select 'Alarm’.

Step 3. Tap O to select On or Off.

Note: 

  • Methods to activate or deactivate the alarm may vary by dryer model. 
  • The button sound is defaulted and cannot be disabled.
