Why Are Apps on My Samsung Mobile Device Forcibly Closing

Some users have found that certain apps on their mobile devices are forcibly closing upon opening them e.g. Tumblr, Google search, Brawl Stars, Waze, TikTok, banking apps, etc.

This may be due to a Google Webview issue and can be resolved by updating Android System Webview and Chrome, 89.0.4389.105 version.

You may follow the steps below to update to the latest versions:

Settings > Apps > Search for 'Webview' > Select Android System Webview > App details in store > Update

If you have Android System Webview Beta installed, you should manually uninstall updates for the Beta version first:

Settings > Apps > Search for  'Webview Tab Android System' > Tap Android System Webview Beta > Tap More (three vertical dots) > Uninstall updates

You may then proceed to update the official Android System Webview App to the latest version.

Settings > Apps > Chrome > App details in store > Update
