Share Your Wi-Fi Password Without Typing It

Sometimes, you just can't remember your Wi-Fi password when you need to share it with guests at home. Or you might just want to save the hassle of repeating your Wi-Fi network and password every time you have new guests over. Your Galaxy device has a feature that allows you to share your Wi-Fi password with other Android phones by simply scanning a QR code.

Before you try the recommendations below, be sure to check if your device's software and related apps are updated to the latest version. To update your mobile device's software, follow these steps:

Step 1. Go to Settings > Software update.

Step 2. Tap on Download and install.

Step 3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Share your Wi-Fi Network and Password

Other Android phones can connect to your Wi-Fi network without entering your password or searching for your network. All they have to do is scan a QR code generated on your Galaxy device.
Here's how to find the QR code on your device:

Step 1.  Go to Settings and tap on Connections.

Step 2. Tap on Wi-Fi. Note that your device must already be connected to that network in order to share it with someone else.

Step 3. Tap on the Settings icon beside the network you are connected to.

Step 4. Tap on QR code and get your friends to scan the QR that appears.

Step 5. Once they tap on the link that shows up, they should automatically be connected.
