What's so special about Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+?

The arrival of the Galaxy S9/S9+ carves a new path in the industry for the way we capture moments, express ourselves and discover the world. Here are what makes the Galaxy S9/S9+ are special in every way.

From the camera standpoint, Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+is a cut above the rest. The groundbreaking Dual Aperture feature automatically adjusts between f/1.5 and f/2.4 to adapt to any lighting condition, just like the human eye. A first in the smartphone industry, it allows Galaxy S9/S9+'s camera to shift between f-stops, a capability that normally DSLR cameras only can pull off. Add to that the multi-image processing technology that drastically reduces noise and improves the quality of the photo in extremely low light situations.

For special moments, Galaxy S9/S9+'s camera can radically slow down time at 960 frames per second to capture high-speed actions the human eye cannot. The new super speed dual pixel sensor does that job for you. With the aid of automatic Motion Detection, movement within the frame can be detected to prompt the camera to start shooting hands-free. Best of all? You can relive these noteworthy split-second moments right on your lock screen.

The Galaxy S9/S9+ is the only smartphone camera on the market that can turn you into an avatar. Samsung uses a data-based machine learning algorithm that analyses a 2D image of the user and maps out more than 100 facial features to create a 3D model of yourself.

With AR Emoji, you can create an animated avatar that looks, sounds and acts just as you do. You can use your selfie to create stickers or record clip messages with customisable emoji. Use these stickers to chat across all your favourite messaging apps. AR Emoji uses standard AGIF file format, so you can share your emojis across most third-party messaging platforms.

Bixby Vision gives you an opportunity to look at the world in a new perspective and in the most convenient method. Samsung integrated its intelligence platform and object recognition software into the camera as a way to gather helpful information about your surroundings to translate words, shop online or identify landmarks.

With Live Translation, you can translate foreign text and currency in real-time with support for 51 input languages and 104 output languages. With Food, you can identify and learn more about what you're eating, even determine the calorie count of your food. With AR Place, you get to know more about the place or landmark you want to go to with just a tap. With Shopping, Bixby helps you identify a product and search for it or similar items online. With Image, you can take photos and look for other images like it. With Quick Command, you can use your voice to pull up something.
