SAMSUNG’S New Tandem Color Laser Printer Offers Busy Offices Color Printing At The Speed Of Black And White

Las Vegas, NV - Samsung, the world's second largest laser engine manufacturer, launches a powerful new tool for small-to-medium size offices with the release of its first single-pass tandem color laser printer, the new CLP-600N. Building upon the award winning technology of Samsung's CLP-500 Series, Samsung responds to the explosive demand for color printing in an office environment with a printer that provides quality speedy color printing as well as fast crisp black and white. Samsung's entire laser printer lineup will be on display during CES 2006 at the Samsung booth, #11033 in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center from January 5th - 8th.

It used to be that if you wanted color printing, you had to sacrifice speed. Not anymore. Samsung's network-ready CLP-600N color laser printer features single-pass technology. The CLP-600N provides a 21-pages per minute printing speed for both color and black and white documents, with the first page out in less than 20 seconds. Targeted for medium and small-sized offices that frequently use color printing, the CLP-600N is lightweight and compact.

"Samsung seriously bolsters its mid-range and high-end product line with the release of this 21 ppm network ready color laser printer," states Mark Meisberger, Senior Product Marketing Manager, Samsung Electronics Information Technology Division. "The global market for color laser printers is literally exploding with an annual growth rate of more than 30%. The new CLP-600N printer has adopted advanced single-pass technology that realizes high-speed color printing, responding to demand by greatly enhancing office efficiency."

In addition to a super sharp effective resolution up to 2400 x 600 dpi, the CLP-600N features Samsung's exclusive NO NOIS™ print engine, which keeps noise low. Easy drawer style toner and paper access means it's super easy to replace supplies and handle paper jams. For example, if paper jams, the user can simply remove the paper at the front of the printer without the need to rotate the body of the printer. Also, the number of supply items is minimized for easy replacement and cost-efficiency.

In addition, the CLP-600N comes equipped with built-in Networking, allowing for shared printers to be used like standalone printers. The smart panel provides printer status on each PC -- pop-ups to alert when an error occurs, toner level and paper jam. The panel window indicates the remaining toner level and it can immediately issue an order through network connection. Wireless networking capabilities are optional.

To keep busy business on target, the CLP-600N boasts a robust duty cycle of up to 45,000 pages per month as well as heavy duty paper handling with a 250-sheet cassette and 100-sheet multipurpose tray, and optional second 500-sheet cassette. Its cassette-based design and alternate bypass feeder equips the printer to manage a full-range of paper types and sizes including envelopes, labels and card stock.

The CL-600N comes with a high-speed USB 2.0 interface and is compatible with Windows, Macintosh and wide distribution of Linux operating systems.
