SAMSUNG Supports Every Childs "Right To Play" With Charity Auctions At Olympic Rendezvous @ SAMSUNG

Torino, February 17, 2006 : Worldwide Olympic Partner Samsung has teamed up with international humanitarian organization Right To Play and internationally renowned Olympians to host charity auctions benefiting sport programs for children in underprivileged areas around the world. During the XX Olympic Winter Games in Torino, fans can meet famous Olympians and bid on special memorabilia live and in-person.

"I remember being on the podium thinking how fortunate I was to have the opportunity to reach the pinnacle of sport accomplishments, especially while there were so many children in disadvantaged areas of the world who didn't even have the chance to play," said Johann Olav Koss, President and CEO of Right To Play, and four-time gold medalist in speed skating. "But, just over 10 years later, Right To Play is changing that. Now we reach over 500,000 children on a weekly basis. We are honored to partner with our friends at Samsung and our many athlete ambassadors in Torino to raise much-needed funds for the children we support around the world."

"Samsung and Right to Play have raised more than 170,000 EURO together during the last several Olympic Games," said Samsung Vice Chairman and CEO Jong Yong Yun. "We are happy to continue this important relationship during the Torino Games and hope Olympic fans will enthusiastically contribute to this worthy cause through our Olympic memorabilia auctions."
