How Do I Reset My SCH-I910 (Omnia) Phone?
A soft reset is a useful tool to use if the device were to lock up or become unresponsive. Much like rebooting a computer, the soft reset will restart the handset without deleting any data stored in either the main memory or my storage. This reset action retains all of your handset’s default parameters and settings.
To perform a soft reset follow the steps below:
To perform a hard reset to either the Main Memory or My Storage follow the steps below:
You can reset the handset’s settings and clear all data/ applications from phone’s internal memory and/or external memory (optional microSD Storage Card) by using the Hard Reset option. This option resets the handset to its factory default settings, ends all applications currently running, and permanently removes all data (pictures/video/contacts) from the handset.
Note: Although this action wipes all information and settings from the SCH-I910 (Omnia), you can circumvent the deletion of important data by storing it on a removable microSD memory card prior to performing the hard reset. DO NOT forget to remove the memory card prior to performing the hard reset.
To perform a manual hard reset follow the steps below:
Tip: Another method to perform a hard reset is to press the Reset button (on the top of the handset) while holding the SEND and END buttons simultaneously. Continue to hold the SEND and END buttons until the prompt to re-format device arrives on screen. Press Send again to re-format or END to cancel.
