Page 1. How do I transfer files, using USB Mass Storage mode, from my Samsung Galaxy S™ Captivate to my Windows® PC?

Mass Storage

You can connect your mobile device to your PC and access it as you would an external hard drive. Your device requires that you add a microSD™ card to it before you can use this feature.

Connecting as a Mass Storage Device

1. Plug the supplied USB cable into your PC and connect it to your device. A USB icon will appear in the status bar when the device has been recognized.
2. Slide the notification panel open by touching and sweeping your finger from the top of the screen to the bottom. Touch USB Connected.

   

3. Touch Connect USB storage.

   

4. Touch OK on the information window to finalize the connection. This window lets you know that some features that use the microSD card will not be available while you are connected in this mode.
5. A window will automatically open on your computer. Click the Open folder to view files option.
   
6. Copy files between your PC and your device using the folders on the left side of Windows^® Explorer.
   
7. To exit USB mass storage mode, touch Disconnect storage from PC before you disconnect the cable from either your computer or your device.
