Samsung S Pen™

The Samsung S Pen™ does more than enable you to interact with your device's screen to navigate the menus and enter information; the S Pen also simplifies many different functions.

S Pen Gestures

The button on the S Pen allows you to interact with the Galaxy Note™ through specific gestures to navigate and capture screens.

Home

To go to the home screen from any application:

1. Press and hold the S Pen button.
2. Press and hold the S Pen on the screen while dragging from top to bottom.
   

Back

To go back to a previous screen:

1. Press and hold the S Pen button.
2. Press and hold the S Pen on the screen (1) while dragging from right to left (2).
   

Menu

To open the menu:

1. Press and hold the S Pen button.
2. Press and hold the S Pen on the screen (1) while dragging from bottom to top (2).
   

Screen Capture

To take a screen capture:

1. Press and hold the S Pen button.
2. Press and hold the S Pen against the screen.
   
   Note: Screen captures are saved in the Screen Capture folder in the Gallery application.

S Memo™ Lite

To open S Memo™ Lite:

1. While in any application, press and hold the S Pen button.
2. Double tap the screen to launch S Memo Lite.
