Methods
There are two ways to install Samsung’s PC Share Manager:
- Using the install CD provided with your TV
- Downloading the latest version from the Samsung Download Center.
If you are using the CD method, go to Install Using the CD by clicking page 2 above. If you are using the download method, go to Downloading the Program by clicking page 3 above.
STEP 2. Install Using the CD
To Install PC Share Manager using the provided CD, follow these steps:
- Insert the disc into your computer’s CD/DVD drive.
- Click the My Computer icon on your computer, and then locate the CD/DVD drive containing the Share Manager disk.
- Double click the drive. The drive opens displaying one file: Setup.
- Double click Setup to begin the installation process.
- Go to Installing PC Share Manager by clicking step 4 at the top of this page.
STEP 3. Downloading the Program
To install PC Share Manager from the Samsung website, follow these steps:
- Click here to go to the Download Center or go to www.samsung.com, click on the Support tab, and then enter your model number.
- Enter your TV’s model number, and then click the Search button. The download web page for your TV appears.
- On your television’s download page, click the Software tab.
- Under the Software tab, click the PC Share Manager file icon on the far right. The File Download – Security Warning dialog appears.
- The File Download – Security Warning dialog asks you to Run or Save the file. If you select Run, the file downloads and begins installing. If you select Save, your computer displays a Save As dialog. In this example, we will select the Save option.
Note: If you select to run the file, your computer may display a “The publisher could not be verified” warning window. If you see this warning window, click the Run button in the window to continue the installation.
- In the Save As dialog, select the location where you want your computer to save the file, and then click the Save button.
- The download begins and the Download dialog shows the progress of the download.
- After the file has finished downloading, you can click Run to install the program now or you can click Close and install it at a later time.
- Go to Installing PC Share Manager by clicking step 4 below.
STEP 4. Installing PC Share Manager
To install PC Share Manger, follow these steps:
- If you are installing using the CD, go to Step 2 on this page. If you saved a download, use Windows Explorer to go to the location in which you saved the Share Manager download file, double click the file, and then go to Step 2.
- The file opens and displays the Change Setup Language dialog. Select your desired language, and then click Next.
Note: The default language is English.
- The Installation Wizard Welcome screen appears. Click Next.
- The program asks where you want to install the Share Manager. Click Next to accept the default location. To change the location, click Browse, select another install location, and then click Next.
- The program is now ready to install. Click Install to install PC Share Manager on your computer
- The installation begins and the Installation Wizard screen displays the installation’s progress.
- After the installation is finished, click the Finish button. The Wizard closes.
STEP 5. Finish
Now PC Share Manager is installed on your computer. To access it, you can:
- Click Start>Programs>Samsung>PC Share Manager
- Or -
- Click the Share Manger shortcut on your desktop. The shortcut icon is displayed below
