STEP 1. Requirements
No title
Make sure that your MP3
device and the music files on your device meet the requirements listed below.
Read the requirements carefully. If the device or audio files do
not meet the requirements, you will not be able to play the audio files through
your TV.
USB Device Requirements
The USB devices you use
with Wiselink must comply with the requirements below:
- The USB device must
be a USB Mass Storage Class device (MSC). MSC is a Mass Storage Class
Bulk-Only Transport device. Examples of MSC devices are Thumb Drives
and Flash Card Readers. Wiselink does not support USB HDD and HUB.
- The file system you
have on your USB device must be either FAT16 or FAT32. Wiselink does
not support NTFS.
Other Considerations
- Some TVs only support
USB devices that have only a 512 byte data block size.
- Certain typesof USB
Digital camera and audio devices may not be compatible with your TV.
- Wiselink does not
support MTP (Media Transfer Protocol).
- An MSC device supports
MP3 and JPEG files, while a PTP (Picture Transfer Protocol) device supports
JPEG files only. Some TVs do not support PTP devices.
- Wiselink may not
recognize USB devices that have their own driver CDs and require you to
install these drivers.
Audio
The audio files you use
with Wiselink must meet the following requirements:
- The files must be
in an MP3 format. No wma files, flac files, ogg files, aac files,
etc.
- The file names must
be in English, French, or Spanish.
- The folder and file
names must contain only alphanumeric characters. Wiselink displays
files with names that contain non-alphanumeric characters as "???".
Other Considerations
- If a filename is
too long, Wiselink displays the file name in the following format: "filename...+.mp3."
- The number of music
files on the USB device should not exeed 3000. Wiselink may not display
any file exceeding 3000 file limit in the Music List.
