New Galaxy tablet offers an unrivalled immersive experience in a stylish, compact design

Samsung Electronics today announced that the latest addition to its market-leading Galaxy tablet range, the Galaxy Tab S2, will be available to buy online and in-store on Friday 4th September. Combining a stunning Super AMOLED display with the thinnest and lightest metal frame on the market, the Galaxy Tab S2 is perfect for enjoying digital content on the move.

The Galaxy Tab S2 will be available to buy from selected high street retailers, including Dixons and John Lewis, and networks including Carphone Warehouse, EE and O2, as well as from the Samsung Experience Stores (SES) and the Samsung online shop.

Updated Super AMOLED Display for Exceptional Viewing
At just 5.6 mm thin and only 389 g (9.7 -inch) and 265 g (8.0 -inch) weight, the Galaxy Tab S2 offers the same stunning Super AMOLED Display in a more versatile 4:3 format – perfect for reading and consuming content on the move. Delivering the most comfortable reading experience yet by recreating the same viewing experience of browsing through traditional print media, the tablet also offers deeper contrast and more precise detail to allow users to browse photos and watch videos in sharp colour and true-to-life detail. Providing an all-round superior entertainment experience, Galaxy Tab S2 owners will also enjoy a free three-month subscription to Google Play Music, giving users access to all 30 million songs currently available on the platform.

Lightweight design and ultimate productivity features for unmatched mobility
Packaged within the world’s slimmest and lightest metal frame of its size, the Galaxy Tab S2 is portable enough to easily carry around all day and operate in one hand, offering the best mobility available. Optimised for those on-the-go, the tablet also comes fully equipped and preloaded with Microsoft Office for Android for ultimate productivity on the road, including the ability to create and edit documents, while conveniently storing up to 100 GB of files on the cloud via OneDrive for two years for free. The Galaxy Tab S2 also offers enhanced security thanks to KNOX, Samsung’s secure mobile platform solution designed to provide advanced data and privacy protection for enterprise users. Providing a complete productivity package, the Tab S2 features a range of enhanced manageability tools including Smart Manager, Fingerprint Scanner and Multi-window, which allows users to view and run two apps simultaneously.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 will come in a variety of connectivity, storage and size options: 9.7-inch and 8.0-inch versions with Wi-Fi, or Wi-Fi and LTE, available in 32 GB with MicroSD up to 128 GB. The 9.7 inch tablet will be available in Gold and Black with an RRP of £399.00 for the 32 GB Wi-Fi version, and the 8.0 inch version will arrive in White and Black with an RRP of £319.00, also for the 32 GB Wi-Fi model.
