SAMSUNG Electronics to Roll Out Vast Array of New Product Offerings at CeBIT 2001

(Hanover, March 22-28 2001) - The CeBIT Show, the world's largest exhibition of information and communications products, is being held in Hanover, Germany March 22-28, as companies display their product, home automation and networking technologies for the future. The hot issue at this year's show will center on mobile communications devices using wireless network technology, plasma display panels, and TFT-LCDs. These products represent the next-generation video devices and high-speed, multi-functional home and business automation systems.

Samsung Electronics is showing over 100 different products under the "Digital Convergence" theme in an exhibition space totaling 1,075 square meters. The items on display will include Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones, notebook PCs, and ferro-electric LCD projectionTVs, high-resolution TFT-LCD monitors, multi-function laser printers and other flat and slim wireless products.

Bluetooth is now one of the leading technologies being applied to wireless networks. Samsung will demonstrate to visitors how Bluetooth works with mobile phones, notebook PCs. Samsung booth visitors will also get a first-hand look at the latest General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) handsets.

Samsung Electronics is not only negotiating business contracts at CeBIT but is also spreading the word about its brand among Europeans. The company is running three booths that separately display digital media products, wireless communication products and office automation products. The three areas are tied together under the overall "Digital Convergence" theme, helping to raise corporate image.

Participation in CeBIT is part of a marketing strategy to expand exports and establish the image of a leader in sophisticated information and communications. Samsung Electronics is determined to take full advantage of this opportunity.
