When tapping the Updates icon on the Google App, my device freezes and becomes unresponsive.

1 Samsung is aware of this glitch, which may occur on some Note10/10+ devices and this is due to a flaw in the Google application itself. Samsung is working closely with Google to update the application as soon as possible to prevent any inconvenience that consumers might experience.

Make sure you have activated your ‘Update’ feature via Google Assistant. For this, please tap and hold the Home button. Once Google Assistant is activated, tap the Updates icon on the app. Your App should update automatically once an updated version is available from Google.
