Samsung QLED TV - Use the Intelligent Mode features
You already know you have a Smart TV, but do you know just how smart it really is? When your QLED TV is in Intelligent Mode, it can actually analyze its surroundings, as well as the program you are watching and your usage patterns, so it provides the best possible viewing experience. Whether you are watching a cartoon on a sunny day, or an action movie where you want to hear every sound effect, your QLED TV will automatically fine-tune its settings.
Note: The provided information refers to Samsung QLED TVs sold in Canada. The available settings and options may differ for devices sold in other countries. Intelligent Mode is only supported on certain QLED models.
Just like on previous models, Intelligent Mode on 2021 TVs analyzes the QLED TV's surroundings, ambient noise, the content you are watching, and your usage patterns. The only difference is that the settings have been improved and are better than ever!
To access these settings, press the Home button on your TV remote, and then navigate to and select Settings. Select General, and then select Intelligent Mode Settings.
The following settings can be turned on or off in Intelligent Mode:
- Adaptive Picture: Optimizes brightness and provides the best picture quality in real time, based on the lighting and the content you are viewing.
- Active Voice Amplifier: Analyzes ambient noise and provides optimal sound depending on the noise level.
- Adaptive Sound+: Provides optimized sound quality by analyzing the viewing space and the acoustic components of the content.
- Adaptive Volume: Automatically adjusts to a specific volume level while you are watching TV. This feature analyzes your volume usage history to automatically adjust the volume when you are using apps or switching to an external input source.
Note: Some of these functions will only be available when the sound output of the QLED TV is set to TV Speaker. Certain functions may not be supported by some modes or apps (e.g., Ambient Mode, Art Mode, and Game Mode).
Maybe you are watching a horror movie in a dim room. If you turn on Intelligent Mode, it will detect the amount of ambient light and adjust the backlight brightness, so you can see what is around every dark corner.
Press the Home button on your TV remote, and then navigate to and select Settings. Select General, and then select Intelligent Mode Settings. Select Intelligent Mode to turn it on or off.
The following settings can be adjusted in Intelligent Mode:
- Adaptive Brightness: Automatically adjusts the backlight brightness by using ambient light sensors to detect the ambient light level.
- Adaptive Sound: Optimizes the sound based on the viewing environment and audio components of what you are watching.
- Adaptive Volume: Automatically adjusts to a specific volume level while you are watching TV.
Note: This feature is only available when the sound output on the TV is set to TV Speaker, and may not be supported by some apps or external devices.
