Dong-Soo Jun is President of the Memory Business of
Samsung Electronics' Device Solutions.

In this capacity, he heads up all of the planning and operations for the Memory Business, which has been the market leader in the memory industry since 1993. Samsung currently holds the number one market share position for most major memory products including DRAM, NAND flash, multi-chip packaging (MCP) and solid state drives (SSD).

Mr. Jun joined Samsung Electronics in 1983, working first as a MOS Logic Design and Audio Circuit Design Engineer. In 1984, he was assigned to the DRAM Design Team and until 1998 contributed to the development of Samsung's DRAM products including the industry's first 64Mb DRAM. From 1998 to 2001, he was assigned to Corporate Business Planning, responsible for developing business strategies that guided Samsung in becoming a leader in digital convergence technologies.

In 2002, Mr. Jun was appointed head of Sales and Marketing at the System LSI Division and was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2003.
In January 2006, he became General Manager of the Digital AV Division where he managed audio and video product portfolio including Blu-ray disc players, home theater systems, MP3 players and video camcorders. In 2007, he was promoted to Executive Vice President and kept leading the Digital AV Division until May 2008 when he was appointed head of Memory Sales and Marketing. In December 2010, he was appointed President and head of the Memory Division of Samsung Electronics' Semiconductor Business.

Mr. Jun received a B.S. and M.S. in Electronic Engineering from Kyungpook National University. He has won numerous awards for excellence and holds 26 Korea-registered patents and 12 international patents registered in 82 countries
