Change the display and brightness settings on your Samsung Laptop

You can adjust the screen's brightness to make it more comfortable. Additionally, you can adjust the display's best settings to fit your present task, such as reading or viewing pictures. Changing these settings can also prolong the battery life of your notebook.

 

Note: 

  • Samsung Settings features may vary depending on the device and software version.
  • Some options may not be available depending on the model.

Adjust brightness using the keyboard

Using the keyboard keys or a brightness slider in the Action Centre, you can modify the screen's brightness.

1 To decrease the brightness of the screen, press and hold the Fn key. Then, press the F2 key.

2 To increase the brightness of the screen, press and hold the Fn key. Then, press the F3 key.

Adjust brightness using the taskbar

1 Select the status icons on the taskbar.
2 Drag the adjustment bar to the desired brightness.

Note:-

• The display screen is automatically set to the brightest level when the adapter is connected. The display screen automatically becomes dimmer when the adapter is disconnected.

 • The computer has an automatic screen brightness adjustment to extend the battery usage time. When necessary, the screen brightness is gradually adjusted.

The display modes will automatically alter your screen’s brightness and colors based on what you are doing.

1 Select the Start button windows icon → All apps → samsung settings icon Samsung Settings.
2 Select Display display icon → Auto mode, and then select an option.

 • Auto mode: Optimizes the screen automatically for the currently running program.

 • Vivid (AMOLED native): Makes scenes more vivid and clear using AMOLED color space.

 • Natural (sRGB): Make videos natural using sRGB color space.

 • Photo editing (Adobe RGB): Optimizes photo editing using Adobe RGB color space.

 • Movie (DCI-P3): Optimizes for movies using DCI-P3 color space.

Optimizing the full screen color balance

1 Select the Start button display icon → All apps → display icon Samsung Settings.
2 Select Display display icon→ Advanced color settings.
3 Drag the color adjustment bar to the desired color tone
