‘Protect battery’ feature in Samsung Galaxy phones

Protect battery is a feature available in Samsung Galaxy phones to extend the lifespan of the battery by controlling its charge level and limiting overcharging. By default, this setting is disabled, but when enabled, it caps the maximum battery charge to 85%.

To enable this feature, follow the provided steps.

  • This function is available in selected models/software versions only
  • Available screens and settings may vary by Galaxy models

1. Navigate to Settings

2. Tap on Battery

Note: - When the battery reaches 85% charge, you'll see a message "Charging paused. Protect battery limits you to 85%."
