How to use the Voice Recorder app on my Samsung Phone

Want to learn how to use the Voice Recorder on your Galaxy device to either share to friends and family, set as a Notification tone or even convert your speech to text? Follow the below guide to learn how to use the pre-installed Voice Recorder on your Samsung phone. Once you have learnt to to use the Voice Recorder app you can also use these recordings as a Notification tone, check out Customising my Notification tone on my Samsung Phone for more information.

Please Note: Screenshots were captured from a Galaxy Note10+ 5G operating on Android OS Version 9.0 (Pie), settings and steps may vary depending on your Galaxy device and Android OS Version.

1 Head into the Voice Recorder app icon Voice record app
Launch Voice Recorder app
2 Tap on Record icon to start recording
Tap on record to start recording
3 Once you have stopped the Voice Recording you can change the file name then tap on Save

1 To view and listen to all of your saved Voice Recordings tap on List

2 To quickly play a Voice Recording tap on play icon

1 Head into your Saved List and tap on 3 dots

2 Select Settings

3 Tap on an option to begin to customise your Voice Recorder Settings

1 To convert a recorded Voice Recording head into your List
Tap on List
2 Tap on the recording you would like to convert
Tap on the recording you would like to convert
3 Tap on 3 dots

4 Select Convert Speech to text
Select Convert speech to text
5 Agree to Terms and Conditions and tap on NEXT

6 Tap on CONVERT

7 Your speech will then be converted to text. Once complete tap on stop icon and save the file.

1 To convert a recorded Voice Recording head into your List
Tap on List
2 Press and hold the Voice Recording you would like to share
Tap on the recording you would like to convert
3 If you would like to share multiple voice recordings select accordingly then tap on Share

4 Select an application to share your Voice Recording
