Blinking white light during calls on Galaxy device
If you have a Galaxy smartphone with an Infinity display, you may notice a small flashing light. You may at some point notice that there is a blinking white light on the upper portion of the display. This light is caused by the proximity sensor being activated.
Because of the minimized bezel and maximized screen size on devices with Infinity displays, the proximity sensor is located under the display panel.
When the proximity sensor is activated or when the proximity sensor is in use, such as when you are on a call, it is possible to see a small light blinking or a flickering pixel near the top of the display.
This is a normal operation named “Photoelectric effect” and is not a device defect.
