The easy way to transfer content to your new Galaxy phone

Before you begin,
- Download the Smartswitch App on both your old and new device ( where applicable ) and check your app is up to date
- Ensure that the batteries on both device are fully charged
How to transfer via USB Cable

Navigate to Settings > " Cloud and Accounts " > Smart Switch > USB Cable
Note:
For Galaxy Device on Android™ Marshmallow (6.0.1)
Go to Settings > Back up and Reset > "Smart Switch > Select USB Cable

Connect both devices with the USB Cable and USB Connector to begin

Select "Send" on your old device and "Receive" on your new Galaxy Smartphone

Select your content and start Transfer

Launch Smartswitch on both devices
Navigate to Settings > "Cloud and Accounts" > Smart Switch > Wireless

Select "Send" on your old device and "Receive" on your new Galaxy Smartphone
Send existing file on your old device and get your new Galaxy smartphone ready to receive these files

Select the content you want to transfer from your old device and tap on the "Transfer" button to begin transferring your files

Ensure your old device has a microSD card inserted or is connected to an external USB storage device

Back up the data on your old device via Smart Switch

Select "Send" on your old device and "Receive" on your new Galaxy Smartphone

Select your content and start "Restore"
