Samsung has become the first company to begin mass producing display panels for three-dimensional LED TVs and 3D LCD TVs. Determined to lead the market for 3D TVs, Samsung LCD is launching six panels in 40-inch, 46-inch and 55-inch sizes (3 LED and 3 LCD). The new display design delivers a more lifelike picture by reducing panel response time by 20 percent and alternating left- and right-eye images sent at 240 frames per second. The panels utilize exclusive 3D Active Glasses for viewing smooth, exceptionally clear, full-HD images in 3D, and also can be used to watch full-HD programming in 2D.
