Samsung Introduces CentreStage Innovation to Hirsch’s Home Store
Samsung launches its latest retail solution
JOHANNESBURG, South Africa – 22 December, 2015 – Samsung Electronics is pushing innovation in the Home Appliance category with the introduction of the retail solution, CentreStage. This new concept showcases Samsung’s portfolio of appliances in an eye-catching, lifelike display and this month, Samsung will be launching the first CentreStage screen at the Hirsch’s Home Goods Store in Fourways, Gauteng.
“The current competitive retail environment is quite challenging when it comes to directly communicating the full value of a product to a shopper,” says Michelle Potgieter, Director of Corporate Marketing and Communications for Samsung Electronics SA. “CentreStage was designed to charm and educate consumers while showcasing the appliances in an accessible, easy to enjoy and innate way to improve the home appliance shopping experience.
Consumers will now be able to foresee what Samsung products will look like in their homes, before purchasing it. In addition, an intuitive and user-friendly touch-screen interface has been integrated to leverage familiarity with smartphone gestures and interactions.
With CentreStage, consumers will be able to:
• Experience the entire range of Samsung home appliances in true-to-life size at UHD resolution, with exterior, interior and alternate views, plus a zoom function to see features up close;
• Understand the product features and benefits through a variety of informational videos, graphics, icons and multi-media content;
• Filter product information to find the right appliance for their individual needs using a side-by-side comparison tool that considers type, capacity, finish, colour, price and more; and
• Imagine how the appliances will look in their homes through the “scene selector” feature, which populates the specified product and colour options into a range of kitchen and laundry room settings – from modern to Mediterranean.
“With the retail experience becoming more advanced and resourceful, it is important for brands like Samsung to keep up with the consumer’s demand and be a leader in the technology space. The combination of tangible and digital innovations make it easier for consumers to shop around for their household appliances and CentreStage offers virtual access to every Samsung home appliance on the market. We believe it will appeal to consumers by enhancing and making their home appliance shopping practice easier than ever,” concludes Potgieter.
