1. Food in The CoolSelect Zone

To prevent your fruit and vegetables from freezing, try one of the following:

If you have CoolSelect Zone, make sure you have not stored your fruit and vegetables in the CoolSelect Zone Pantry.

If the fruit and vegetables are stored in the If cool Select Zone Pantry, move them to one of the Vegetable and Fruit Drawers.

Raise the temperature in your refrigerator. The ideal temperature setting is 38º F (3º C).

     

2. Food On The Shelves Is Too Cold

To keep food from freezing on your refrigerator shelves, try the following:

    • Set the refrigerator control to a warmer setting. The ideal temperature setting for your refrigerator is 38º F (3º C). If you have set it colder than that, your food can freeze.

    • Move the food to a warmer part of the refrigerator. If the food has high water content and you have stored it in the coldest part of the refrigerator, it can freeze.

    • ncrease the temperature in your kitchen. A kitchen that is too cold can cause the temperature in your refrigerator drop below what it should be.

    • Raise the temperature in your refrigerator. The ideal temperature setting is 38º F (3º C).

    • If you are storing the fruit and vegetables in the upper fruit and vegetable drawer, move them to the lower drawer.
