How to install a USIM card in the Samsung Galaxy S26 series
A USIM card is an essential component for connecting to a mobile network. If the card is inserted in the wrong direction or not properly secured in the tray, it may cause damage to the tray or result in device malfunction. As the USIM card and tray are small components, it is important to check the correct orientation and position before installation.
Inserting a USIM Card into the Galaxy S26 series
Before installing the USIM card, it is recommended to power off the device and work in a stable environment. To properly install the USIM card, follow the steps below in order and insert it accurately.
1. Galaxy S26 and S26+
The SIM card tray of the Galaxy S26 and S26+ is located at the bottom left side of the device.
Step 1. Use the ejection pin to press the hole on the SIM card tray to detach the tray.
Step 2. Pull out the detached SIM card tray completely.
Step 3. Place the USIM card into the slot of the SIM card tray with the metal contacts facing upward, then gently press it to ensure it is securely fitted.
Note: Dual SIM support may vary by country or region.
Step 4. Reinsert the SIM card tray with the USIM card into the tray slot of the device.
2. Galaxy S26 Ultra
The SIM card tray of the Galaxy S26 Ultra is located at the bottom right side of the device.
Step 1. Use the ejection pin to press the hole on the SIM card tray to detach the tray.
Step 2. Pull out the detached SIM card tray completely.
Step 3. Place the USIM card into the slot of the SIM card tray with the metal contacts facing upward, then gently press it to ensure it is securely fitted.
Step 4. Reinsert the SIM card tray with the USIM card into the tray slot of the device.
Precautions When Installing a USIM Card
Always use the provided ejection pin when removing the tray.
Use only a Nano-SIM card. Using a different size SIM card or a modified SIM card may cause damage to the device.
Inserting the ejection pin into the tray hole at an angle may cause device damage. Insert it vertically.
Inserting the tray while it is wet may cause damage to the device. Ensure it is completely dry before reinserting.
Fully insert the tray into the slot to prevent foreign substances from entering the device.
If the USIM card is scratched or bent, the data stored on the card may be damaged.
