How to use Family device sharing on the Samsung Galaxy S26 series

The Galaxy S26 series supports Family device sharing for your family members. You can use Quick Share, Camera Share, Storage Share, Multi control, and Auto Hotspot through Family device sharing. Add your family members to share files and connect devices easily.

Invite family members

Family device sharing lets you easily connect and share files, screens, cameras, storage and more with your family. Invite your family members to use Family device sharing. Follow the steps below to invite family members and activate Family device sharing.

Step 1. Tap Settings.

Step 2. Select your Samsung account.

Step 3. Select Family.

Step 4. Tap the Create family group button.

Step 5. Select Invite family member.

Step 6. Select Invite someone.

Step 7. Select Send an invitation, Use a QR code, or Send a text message to invite people.

Note: Your Samsung account ID, email address, and name will be shared with family members who join.

Use Family device sharing

You can share your device with your family members to make it easier to exchange files and connect devices. Follow the steps below to use Family device sharing and check registered family members.

Step 4. Select Family device sharing.

Step 7. You can use Quick Share, Camera Share, Storage Share, Multi control, and Auto Hotspot.

Note:

  • Family device sharing is available on Galaxy phones and Galaxy tablets with One UI 8.5 or later and support for Galaxy Book is scheduled for a later update.
  • Family device sharing can also be accessed and configured through Quick Share, Camera Share, Storage Share, Multi control, and Auto Hotspot.

How to view shared family members and device information

You can check shared family member and device information in the Shared in your family section. Follow these steps to see member details and devices shared by your family.

Step 1. Select Family device sharing.

Step 2. Select your family members.

Step 3. Check the shared devices within your family.

Note:

  • To use Family device sharing, family members must activate the Family device sharing feature.
  • Menu names, paths, and screen layouts may vary depending on your device model, software version, or app version.
