How to use Perplexity on the Samsung Galaxy S26 series

Perplexity enables you to search, summarise content and extract insights. You can also receive professional guidance from Perplexity. On the Galaxy S26 series, you can use Perplexity to manage Galaxy apps. Open the Perplexity app and set it as your default digital assistant. To activate Perplexity, say "Hey Plex" or press and hold the Side button.

Activate Perplexity using the Side button

To start, download and log in to Perplexity on your Galaxy S26 series. Follow the steps below to use Perplexity as your digital assistant.

1.    Set up the Side button

Step 1. Tap Settings.

Step 6. Select Perplexity.

2.    Run Perplexity using the Side button

After setting Perplexity as the default digital assistant, press and hold the Side button to activate Perplexity.

Step 1. Press and hold the Side button on your Galaxy phone.

Step 2. Make sure Perplexity is activated.

Activate Perplexity using voice wake-up

You can activate Perplexity using voice wake-up. Perplexity is accessible even when the screen is off. Register your voice and say "Hey Plex" to launch Perplexity.

1.    Set up voice wake-up

Step 1. Tap Settings.

Step 4. Select Perplexity.

Step 5. Turn on Hey Plex detection.

Step 6. Select the Re-record your voice button.

Step 7. Follow the on-screen instructions to register your voice.

Step 8. Tap the Finish button.

Note: Step 5 and Step 6 may not appear during the initial setup.

2.    Activate Perplexity using voice

After registering your voice, say "Hey Plex" to activate Perplexity. You can use Perplexity even when the screen is off.

Manage Galaxy apps using Perplexity

You can manage Galaxy apps using Perplexity commands. Follow the steps below to manage your Galaxy apps.

Step 1. Launch Perplexity and enter a prompt (for example, "Set an alarm").

Step 2. Check that the requested action has been completed.
