  • 1. What is Solve for Tomorrow?

    Solve for Tomorrow is a national education contest by Samsung Canada. Students in grades 6–12 use STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) to create solutions for real community challenges.
  • Each eligible participant in the contest comprises of (1) teacher who has entered with one (1) to fifty (50) middle school or high school students in grade 6-12 from publicly funded schools located anywhere in Canada.. Participants can also be from charter schools that derive at least 50% of their operating funds from public sources. All applications must be submitted by a full-time teacher who is employed by a publicly funded school (as defined above, and defined further in the Rules), 21 years or older, and a resident of Canada.
  • The entry period runs from: January 12, 2026 (12:00 a.m. EST) to February 27, 2026 (11:59 p.m. EST).
  • Submit an application here
  • You will answer 3 questions in a minimum of 100 words each.

  • No, this contest is open to all teachers regardless of the subject taught. However, the topic of this contest focuses on STEM solutions and sustainability.
  • Teachers can choose to collaborate with as few as a single student, but no more than fifty students can make up part of a group. However, we encourage groups that involve more than one student. Students do not have to be part of a teacher’s class to form part of the group.
  • The Solve for Tomorrow contest is open to all classroom formats, whether your district is on a virtual, in-person, or blended model.
    • • Phase One
      Twelve Regional Finalist teams will each receive $2,500 per team in Samsung Vouchers to purchase Samsung technology, and/or select Samsung products.

    • • Phase Two
      Four National Finalist teams will each receive $5,000 per team in Samsung Vouchers to purchase Samsung technology, and/or select Samsung products.

    • • Phase Three
      First Place - $50,000 in Samsung Vouchers to purchase Samsung technology, and/or select Samsung products Second Place - $10,000 in Samsung Vouchers to purchase Samsung technology, and/or select Samsung products Third Place - $10,000 in Samsung Vouchers to purchase Samsung technology, and/or select Samsung products Fan Favourite Winner - $5,000 in Samsung Vouchers to purchase Samsung technology, and/or select Samsung products
