Widgets provide convenient shortcuts to frequently used apps on your Galaxy Z Flip5. They offer quick access to apps like Calendar, Weather, and Samsung Health without the need to open the phone. Discover how to easily customise these widgets with our simple steps.

Step 1. Double tap the cover screen or press the Power button to turn on the cover screen.

Step 2. Swipe left to view your current widgets. To delete a widget, touch and hold the desired widget, and then tap the ( – ) icon.

Step 3. To add a widget, swipe all the way to the right, and then tap the ( + ) icon.

Step 4. Tap the widget you would like to add.

Step 5. To further customise the widgets, open your phone, and then open Settings > Cover screen > Widgets.

Step 6. You have the ability to turn your widgets on or off and rearrange their order.

You can launch an app from the cover screen using either of the two methods below.

Option 1:

  1. Go to Settings > Advanced features > Labs > Apps allowed on cover screen.

  2. Tap the switches next to the apps you wish to enable on your cover screen.

Option 2:

  1. Go to Galaxy Store > Download and install Good Lock app.

  2. Launch Good Lock, and then go to Life up > MultiStar > I ♡ Galaxy Foldable > Enable Launcher.

  3. Select an app to add, and then tap Enable Launcher Widget > Launcher widget.

Notes:

  • When you add an app, an Apps widget is automatically created that consists of the executable app.
  • Apps found in the “Apps allowed on cover screen” feature include (but are subject to change): Messages (Samsung), KakaoTalk, Line, WhatsApp, Messages (Google), YouTube, Netflix, Naver Maps, Maps (Google), and WeChat.
  • Samsung Lab and Good Lock are not officially supported, so apps found through these features may not function as expected when launched from the cover screen.
