It was wonderful to see so many of you at CEDIA 2022! It was great to see a full exhibit and hear from so many of you about how Samsung is helping to grow your businesses. We are truly grateful for the time each of you chose to spend with us.

 

This year Samsung displayed 2022 products in our CEDIA exhibit and audio room to help you bring new technology and features to excite your clients. Below are some of the highlights: 

 

  • Our Ultra-Slim Soundbar S800 series brings a matching design aesthetic to the award winning The Frame.
  • Our New MICRO LED 110” Single panel product won Best of Show.
  • There was a demonstration of the unbelievable new matte display on The Frame.
  • On display was our selection of core 98” QLED TVs, including our new QN100B 5,000 NIT model.
  • The new Wall All-in-One dvLED, 146” 4K .84 Pixel Pitch model that can be installed in hours!
  • Our new Odyssey Arc 55” immersive curved gaming monitor.
  • Samsung’s The Freestyle portable projector won multiple awards this year.

 

Samsung exhibited new and improved tools and programs in our Partner Area at CEDIA, as well as our brand new Design Center in the Trade Mart at the Dallas Market Center. Our exhibit highlighted 6 key areas that our team focused on to help you grow your business with confidence.

  • Our newly designed microsite builder enables Samsung CI partners to build professional looking content with ease within their own website.
  • We continue to see growth with our Platinum Dealer Program which helps raise money for worthy causes. Requirements to join can be met by offering a variety of different TV designs and applications. We encourage you to contact your Rep Firm or Samsung CI manager for more info.
  • Samsung continues to strengthen Core Partner relationships; now with 8 Core Control Partners.
  • Samsung’s robust distribution network affords you, the CI dealer, the choice of buying from a national partner or a regional partner with ease.

We hosted Platinum dealer and partner meetings, buying group events, and our own open house at the new Samsung Design Center. This state of the art facility exists to support all your needs. Our team is here to support you, whether it’s bringing clients to view all of Samsung’s residential and commercial premium products to hosting events or client facing meetings.

Installing The Frame or multiple TV’s around the house for your client? The S800/801B pairs perfectly. Hi, my name is Bill Bourke, the Samsung Custom Install Sales Manager for California, northern Nevada, and Hawaii. At the recent CEDIA Expo in Dallas, Samsung revealed our latest solution to direct-view (dvLED), and WOW did it leave an impression! Samsung has been involved in dvLED technology for a long time, including great success with amazing outdoor solutions such as SoFi & Allegiant Stadiums in LA and Las Vegas, outdoor displays that you see in Times Square and the Las Vegas Strip, and many more. These solutions taught us just how effective dvLED is outdoors, designed for direct sunlight because of its brightness and brilliance. 

 

Modern architecture of the custom built homes that Custom Integrators work in often feature open layouts, large glass windows or folding glass doors, allowing unimpeded visibility of surrounding landscapes. The challenge that the Custom Installer must solve is the flood of ambient light that inevitably flows through these elegant panes of glass. Ambient light is not friendly to 2-piece solutions (projector and screen) because they don’t perform in high-brightness and high-glare environments. 

 

The same dvLED technology previously for outdoor solutions has been refined by Samsung using MICRO LED technology and tighter pixel pitch density to perform in these elegant homes. It is easily seen from the couch in the media room, to the farthest corners of the great room, or even outside from the pool deck. The Wall-in-One is our latest iteration of The Wall and has become a complete “turnkey” solution for our CI partners, with a simplified approach that comes in 3, all-in-one-box, solutions. Solution #1 is 146” 4K (.84 pixel pitch), solution #2 is 146” 2K (1.6 pixel pitch), and solution #3 is 110” 2K (1.2 pixel pitch). Included with the Wall-in-One is a 3 year warranty on parts & labor, and professional installation by Samsung technicians. We also improved the manufacturing process so we can now produce the LED panels faster than before, improving production and creating economy of scales savings that we’re passing onto you and your clients.

At CEDIA 2022, the Samsung exhibit featured a dedicated area where we highlighted our Partner relationships. Attendees were able to learn about our collaborations with Rep Firms, Control Partner Companies, Samsung Service, the Samsung Microsite Builder, and the state of the art Samsung Custom Install Platinum Direct Dealer Program. 

 

Within the Custom Install channel, Samsung's Rep Firms play a vital role by strategically covering Custom Install dealers across the United States by assisting CI dealers with their day-to-day needs.

 

The success of Samsung can be largely attributed to the quality of its service. We have developed resources including dedicated hotlines for technical support and dealer service – assuring that our dealers' customers receive timely repairs. These microsites link directly to your site without taking visitors away from your other solutions. Attendees were able to learn more about the Samsung Custom Install Platinum Direct Dealer Program.  Members of this criteria based program receive exclusive benefits including increased profitability, priority allocations, VIR achievement awards, direct relationships with CI sales managers, specialized product meetings, and participation in programs such as our Platinum Charitable Giveback program. A note from Ryan Chicoine, CI Sr. Sales Manager (CO, UT, WY, AZ, NM, TX, OK, LA, AR)

Greetings, my name is Ryan Chicoine, Custom Install Sr. Sales Manager for Louisiana through southern Nevada. At CEDIA 2022, Samsung opened the doors of our brand new, 14,000 sq. ft. permanent showroom in the Dallas Market Center.  In case you missed it, you can take an interactive tour of this new state of the art space hereIn the new and improved showroom, you will see the collaboration between two divisions at Samsung, our Home Entertainment and Commercial Display solutions. This showroom provides the opportunity to present the latest Display and Audio products and solutions. Over the course of CEDIA, Samsung was able to host numerous events with over 1,000 CI Dealers, Distributors, Buying Groups and Rep Firms touring the space.

 

The new showroom includes an outdoor space featuring both the Full Sun and Partial Sun versions of the highly acclaimed The Terrace. In the tent you will see a popular use case display of our extremely versatile The Freestyle, a lightweight, portable projector with access to your favorite streaming services. 

 

The 40-foot art gallery displaying our collection of the latest generation The Frame is mesmerizing, and highlights the new 2022 Anti-Reflection with Matte Display. Also highlighted are Samsung’s own accessory bezels with The Frame My TV bezels mixed in. Attendees were dazzled by a demonstration of the auto-rotating mount. This new motorized mount allows the user to watch TV in normal landscape orientation when it’s on, and display art in portrait orientation when the Frame TV is off. The whole gallery experience is accentuated by ColorBeam lighting.

 

The newly announced 98” Samsung Neo QLED 4K offers brighter, richer colors and is more dynamic than anything before it, leaving attendees with a sense of awe. This model is the highest expression of Samsung Neo QLED technology in a 4K display. Next stop, a darker room is home to Samsung’s ever-popular ultra-short throw projectors, The Premiere. Both the RGB laser LSP9T and the single laser LSP7T are on display. The whole package is complimented with Salamander furniture and ambient light rejecting screens from Stewart Filmscreen and Screen Innovations.

 

A large, dedicated space with a bar has been created as a demonstration and meeting facility, also capable of hosting large events and parties. This showroom can host one-on-one dealer/client meetings to show the latest and greatest technologies just as easily at it can host an event of 150 or more. This space is complete with Luminii linear indirect lighting and 70-volt audio provided by Origin Acoustics.

 

On display in the showroom are all of the QLED 4K models ranging from the cost effective Q60B to the top of the 4K range QN95B; all shown in their most popular 75” size and paired with the appropriate Samsung soundbar.

 

The Samsung Neo QLED 8K has a dedicated room showcasing the stunning 85” QN900B, and the 75” QN800B. Again, both TVs are perfectly paired with their model appropriate Samsung Dolby Atmos enabled soundbar.

 

The new Samsung Quantum Dot enhanced OLED TVs were resplendent in both sizes: 65” and 55”. The sheer blackness coupled with unrivaled color volume and saturation makes these displays the perfect solution for darker or dimly lit environments.

 

At 146 inches, our new installation of The Wall is hugely impressive. With a theater built around it, it becomes all the more striking. CinemaTech is responsible for the acoustics and wall treatments, Row One did the seats, ColorBeam did the lighting, and our sister company Harman provided the soul shaking JBL Synthesis 7.4.4 Atmos surround system. The marriage of the super dynamic display, an acoustically treated space and a super dynamic audio system are a showstopper, setting a new benchmark for performance.

 

The other side of the showroom is dedicated to our Display Solutions (Commercial) division. Instead of vignettes organized by model, we coordinated by solution including Command and Control, Retail, Hospitality/Healthcare and Outdoor.

 

The Command and Control room features the newest 146” display in Samsung’s arsenal, the IAB Series 146” Wall-All-In-One. Featuring identical performance as the previous versions of The Wall, the IAB Series features a more affordable price point that will appeal to a much larger segment of the population in both residential and commercial worlds.

 

The Retail and Hospitality/Healthcare rooms are dedicated to displaying both large format displays (LFD) and several of our monitors that are available.

 

The outdoor space features our insanely rugged commercial outdoor displays and a tremendously bright outdoor LED demonstration that includes multiple pixel pitch cabinets in one display.

 

The entire facility is fully integrated with Control 4, with both Control 4 and Orro keypads and distributed video at all displays by HD Anywhere. Hello, my name is Erin Bauer and I am the Samsung Custom Install Sales Manager for the Midwest through the Pacific Northwest. Samsung’s The Frame, The Serif and The Sero got a major upgrade this year with the introduction of Matte Display with Anti-Reflection technology. This new feature eliminates light reflection during the day or night which enables you to enjoy your favorite shows, movies and artwork in any room at any time without the distracting effects of reflection from lamps or windows. 

 

The new Matte Display with Anti-Reflection technology also ensures that now, more than ever, artwork displayed on The Frame looks like the real thing; the texture of the canvas or paint come to life and appear 3D making it seem even more like a work of art to the naked eye. For fans of digital art, the new Anti-Reflection technology and Matte Display on The Serif and The Sero, provide the perfect canvas for displaying your NFTs when not enjoying your mobile content on a big screen. You can even search and display new digital art with Samsung’s built in NFT store.

 

Another new addition this year is Samsung’s Auto Rotating Wall Mount ($349 SRP), compatible with both The Frame TVs and QLED TVs up to 65”. The Auto Rotating Wall Mount provides a unique and simple solution for those who want to expand their options for displaying art. With the touch of a button, this slim and quiet mount will rotate your television allowing you to display your portrait oriented artwork the way it was intended. 

 

The new Matte Display and Auto Rotating Wall Mount elevate both TV viewing and the display of artwork by reducing glare, increasing contrast and unlocking more ways to display your favorite pieces. These two new developments for 2022 transform a TV from an empty rectangle on the wall to a perfectly custom curated piece of home décor.

Hello, my name is Jonathan Samborski, Samsung CI Sales Manager for the Southeast and FL. Welcome to the best section of this newsletter! This section is the best because it discusses Samsung’s award winning 110” MICRO LED(MS1A). I hope many of you had the chance to see it in our booth at CEDIA, if not, don’t worry – there’s more than enough to discuss!  

 

Maybe you’ve heard about the latest TV tech that promises to be a masterpiece of display technology with additional customization of sizing you wouldn’t expect from typical TVs. If you haven’t, let me introduce you to MICRO LED – technology that uses millions of individually addressable LEDs to create the display’s image. That’s right, there’s no ‘panel’ being used here, just very small LEDs emitting light straight to your eyeballs – think of the same technology used in the jumbotron at your local stadium, just micronized and much, much more captivating!

 

Why is it so captivating and what is the big deal about this new display from Samsung? Well, Samsung has packed our 110” MS1A MICRO LED with features that enhance picture quality, design, sound and the overall viewing experience beyond what’s ever been possible from a single display. With MICRO LED technology, you have a display being powered without backlighting or color filters. The Monolith Design also makes a substantially bold statement in the way it is slim, bezel-less and engineered to fit perfectly against the wall, enhancing the space without distraction. Sound from a display, meh, right? Well with Arena Sound on the MS1A, the hidden speakers within the display create 3D Arena Sound that moves above and all around you. Who among you doesn’t love being able to offer your clients true multi-view from as many as four different sources of content on a single 110” MICRO LED display? I thought so.
