Wow, it's November!

Where has the time gone? When do we all get a chance to catch our breath after a busy summer install season and before the holiday season? I suppose the idea of “Catching our breath” has gone away with the notion of an “Off Season”.

At Samsung, we have been working hard to bring to you the best products and services in both the Residential and Commercial Display market all year. Our goal is to bring to you, the CI dealer, products and programs that you can use to excite your clients with the best the industry has to offer while differentiating you from online as well as the mid to big box retail options your clients see every day.

This Newsletter strives to stand out from others you may receive in that we bring you up to date, useful content to help you grow your business. In this and past issues we are bringing you our most up to date:

As we all long for a full return to CEDIA and other industry-wide events, where we get to see and hear the best the industry has to offer, I would like to take a moment to remind you of some of the investments we have made to help you grow your businesses.

  • While Samsung reluctantly pulled out of “in-person” CEDIA in 2021, it did not stop us from building what I am sure would have been our best exhibit ever. At Samsung we built our exhibit off site and utilized the facility to shoot video’s for your use. We have presented these videos to our Rep Firms, Distributor partners, Platinum dealer and Buying group partners over the past few weeks, in an effort to capture some of the excitement and value of the in-person CEDIA event. It was a big investment in both dollars and time, but I hope our intent is not lost. We are really trying everything we can think of do add value to your businesses, and help you grow. If you haven’t seen our 90-minute show, please reach out and we will get it to you.

  • Our Dallas, TX, Irvine, CA, Ridgefield Park, NJ design center facilities have never been busier. As long as the CI Dealers continue to show up and utilize our facilities to showcase to your clients the best products and multiple options afforded to them by Samsung, we will keep providing these VERY EXPENSIVE facilities for you to use. Screen sizes continue to get bigger, new technologies and designs continue to be introduced, and clients still want to be dazzled. If you haven’t been to see what we are doing at these facilities, or asked for one in your area, you are missing out. It is no surprise that the dealers who are using these facilities regularly, and the markets in which they exist in general, are seeing the fastest growth.

  • Programming, Programming, Programming! We continue to invest in all levels of your business. We are so pleased with our Rep Firm network now covering all 50 states, and our Regional and national Distribution partners who have embraced our brand and are stocking at over 100 locations around the country. And most importantly, you, our dealer partners award us with the CE Pro 2021 Quest for Quality award for best Partner program – the Platinum Dealer program – voted by you the CI dealer as the best in the business. Thank you for this honor, and I look forward to earning it again in 2022.

  • The last investment I’d like to address, is the product itself. Outdoor TV, The Frame TV, Micro LED, Samsung Neo QLED, 8K, Pro TV, the list goes on. I am so proud to be part of an organization that continues to demonstrate a relentless pursuit for product and technology innovation. The product that will be outlined in this newsletter and continue to be introduced in to the market is staggering. A lot of it starts right here in the CI Channel, so please keep bringing us your great ideas and I can’t wait to show you what is coming in the next 6 months!

7 ways to drive ROI with Samsung Pro TV by Dave Haynes
For most business operators, every dollar spent matters. So when you're considering investing in new technologies like digital signage, you understandably want to know the expected return on investment (ROI).

Samsung's new Pro TV — an all-in-one digital signage solution made for versatile business use — has at least seven key attributes for delivering a tangible financial ROI through increased sales and lowered operating costs, as well as through softer measures like boosted customer experiences and reduced operating complications.

1. Priced right for any industry
Typical digital signage systems require multiple components and use technologies engineered for high-demand commercial and industrial applications. With a professional-grade display, a separate media player and sophisticated management software, operating costs can quickly go over budget.

The Samsung Pro TV solution includes an affordable 4K display with built-in Wi-Fi and an embedded media player for visual messaging, as well as content management, creative and control software. That software has been simplified so that anything you need to do can be done from just a smartphone or tablet. The Crystal UHD display delivers a vibrant, crisp and clear picture with four times the resolution of regular HD displays.

2. Installation is a breeze
Pro TV is a self-contained system; the media player and network connectivity elements are inside the display. There's only one cable to plug in: the one for power. That streamlined design speeds up installation and reduces cost by removing third-party installers. The mounting requirements are the same as those for home TVs, meaning any handy person could easily do the job on their own. Software activation is as simple as adding the Business TV app, which will interact with the Pro TV display.

3. Visually dynamic
Pro TVs make the most of the finite messaging positions in a shop, waiting room, service counter or reception area. Motion visuals attract more attention than print — one Pro TV display can replace a single printed poster with a message rotation full of motion graphics, videos and images. The content management app includes more than 100 customizable creative templates that generate professional-looking motion messages, so users don't need to have any design or technical skills to create dynamic content for their customers.

4. Power in your hands
Pro TV users manage everything about their on-premises digital signage displays from a complication-free smartphone app that they can use anywhere. The app, which has Android and iOS versions, was designed to make managing on-site displays as simple as possible for busy business owners and operators. In three easy steps, they can use their smartphone to upload dynamic, eye-catching content to one or several Pro TVs. That's all it takes.

5. Drive timely sales
QSR chains and other types of national and regional dining establishments were early adopters of digital signage technology, which has allowed them to change menus by time of day, to easily add and remove menu items without printing anything and to use motion visuals to attract customer views and stimulate sales.

Pro TV makes that same kind of technology available to other sorts of businesses, including small and local operators, cutting costs and complications. Local owners and managers can change daily specials and promotions on displays instantly, via the smartphone app, without even leaving the dining area.

Samsung has developed a simple way for our CI dealers to build a co-branded microsite. We aren’t asking you to sell online, we’re simply helping to drive premium model business your way. In just a few simple steps you can create your own custom Samsung branded page and choose the products you want to feature as well as the partners you support.

This will set your company apart from the competition and deliver a client focused experience. It is a turnkey solution to make sure your website is always up to date with the latest Samsung custom install information. Here’s how it works:

To get started creating a custom Samsung microsite page, visit https://samsungcustominstall.com and click on “Get Started”. Log in using your Samsung Custom Install portal credentials and simply enter your business name, company URL, email and phone number and you’re half way there! Customers who visit the Samsung consumer product website will be able to receive a quote, book a consultation or call you as one of our Samsung custom installation specialists. Customer inquiries, including those that are about specific products, will be forwarded to your specified email address.

A great feature of this easy-to-set-up microsite is that you get to choose which products and product images you want to highlight – whether that’s Samsung Neo QLED 8K, The Terrace Full Sun or The Frame, you’re in charge. You’ll set up your four primary featured products in addition to a carousel of secondary products, giving you a wide range of products your customers can choose from.

We’ve also included an Advanced Control graphic section for customers who might also be interested in home automation. You will be able to select up to nine home automation systems partner logos you’d like included in this section, letting customers know the range of solutions you offer.
