Galaxy Z Fold8

Overall, I’m very happy with this phone. The large inner screen feels almost like a small tablet, which makes reading, browsing the web, checking messages and multitasking much more comfortable than on a regular phone. The design is also very practical because it is still compact enough when folded. The only downside I have noticed so far is that when using the front screen, some apps can be a bit slow to respond. Occasionally I have had to close the app and reopen it to make it work properly again. Hopefully this can be improved with future software updates. Apart from that, the phone is excellent and the big screen experience is really impressive.

I am loving it so far! I love the size of both displays, and I really like the size of the device in general. The passport type shape is really appealing to me and its been a dream to consume content on. The device is very responsive and I havent had any kind of slowdowns at all, everything is instant and smooth. The battery life is really good too! I like the new si-c battery, it lasts ages and I havent had any issues with it at all- plus it keeps the device sleek and thin. The device itself feels very sturdy, it's well made and I have no concerns of it breaking. The hinge feels very snappy and premium and I havent had any issues with it at all.

Straight of the box i thought what a cool phone. Easy to set up,had it next to my S24 and it picked my phone up instantly. The Display is fantastic and extremely clear. The Hinge in the fold is very strong but not to stiff and is easy to open. I have my Battery set to 80 percent but everyday use, it doesn't drop below 50 percent, which is miles better than my S24. This isn't a Flimsy phone, it's quite robust and feels very strong in your hand. Searching through apps, it's really quick and very responsive and you can have multiple pages and apps open at the same time. This is a great upgrade from my S24, glad I got one. You won't be disappointed 😉

Awesome device, great format and all the specs you could want.

After getting my wife a Fold 7, I've been totally amazed by these foldable phones. You get the best of both worlds – a regular phone on the outside and a tablet inside! When my S23 started slowing down and the battery was dying fast, I knew it was time for a Fold. I knew the Fold 8 was coming out, so I waited and watched prices for both the new one and the Fold 7. After snagging a sweet deal on the Fold 8, it was a no-brainer. This phone is everything I hoped for and more. It's super fast, holds a charge forever, and the inner display crease is barely there – you actually forget you have a tablet that folds in half! Seriously great, no regrets.

I started using Samsung phones way back with the 'S' series, then through the years, wanted more screen space, so the Flip 3 was next in line. Great phone until I changed for the Fold 4. My daughter still enjoys my Fold 4, but I moved up to the Fold 6 , then to the Fold 7, and now to the Fold8. This phone is unbelievable, so many options are available especially when you download Samsung apps like Good Lock and Navstar, and more. Many of my friends have changed to Samsung because they want to experience the screen size as well as the extras like the Samsung watch , that links in to the phone perfectly.

Samsung never dissapoints ,i nived to samsung when the first flip came and now this loving it!!!! I charged it over night and by the end of the day it was 60 percent absolutely chuffed. Flawless display and responsive ,and im blown away by the simplicity of data transference. Since the first flip samsung has really progressed with the hinge movement . You cnt the see middle hinge on the display ,the protective screen use to come after a year but with last flip it did not happen .Durability has come a long away. No chipping, bending scratches. I am the biggest fan now as samsung has proven themselves in every aspect ."Always One step ahead in the Game ".

It's been little over a week since I received Z fold 8 and I have been really impressed with it. The design feels slimmer and more refined, while still giving you the convenience of a phone that opens into a much larger screen. The large inner display is excellent for watching videos, browsing the web, multitasking, and using multiple apps at the same time. The outer screen is also much more comfortable to use for everyday tasks. Overall, the Galaxy Z Fold8 is an impressive upgrade and feels very premium. This is one of the best foldable phones and mini-tablet in one device, it is very expensive but totally worth it.

Having held onto my S23 Ultra for the last 3 years, I was very tempted by the Z Fold 8 Ultra! However, in the end I opted for the Z Fold 8 because the form factor felt different. I am obsessed with how good this phone is to use just with the external screen and use that easily 80% but possibly 90% of the time. The battery is currently lasting me 2 days which is outstanding for such a small form factor. The foldable screen once opened is then truly something special. The phone is brilliantly responsive between screens and feels seamless. The camera is really only average when trying to zoom, but for normal photos of subjects nearby is perfectly acceptable.

I am very happy with the form factor. I am coming from a Fold 6 which I found to be too narrow when folded. The added width makes it easier for me to type on the keyboard. The shorter height makes it easy to reach the top and bottom of the screen when folded. There is less wasted space when watching videos unfolded. I think my ideal phone would be this form factor with better cameras. I am noticing some third party apps not accommodating the screen resolution properly but assume things will improve over time. The battery so far seems good. It is lasting longer than my Fold 6 probably due to a combination of larger battery size and degradation in my old phone.

Traded in my S23 Ultra for the Galaxy Fold 8. Reasons for this were not that my S23 was still great . Reason for upgrading wanted to try a fold and this one was a better form factor than the longer versions, like that the screen without opening is nice use this most of the time my only need for flipping open is media. Movies and U Tube etc. Like the speed and battery life is great. Only thing for some it might be too wide to hold comfortably. Me I have larger hands my spouse small hands and the Fold 8 is harder for her to manage if holding for a longer period of time. As for as durability I'm very careful with my phones case and screen protection. Will see how long it last right now its been with me a couple of weeks. The Cameras great I do not need a phone with huge zooming still have a camera for this.

Where do i start? The fold 8 is the perfect little machine. Fits great in jeans pockets and the right size to do everything on the go right on the cover screen. Fold 8 open 😜 and its like a kindle size device. Super comfortable to hold, genuinely the perfect size for other tasks that require more attention. The display quality is fantastic So far. The battery life is great. I've had it 4 days now and only charged it twice. I can't comment on durabilty just yet as ive not had it long enough but It eems solid. Its a fast a very responsive little unit and feels very rugged at the hinge compared to other folds/flips i have had

I purchased one for my wife and subsequently acquired one for myself. The form factor is exceptional, unparalleled by other devices. Having owned numerous Samsung products, I can confidently state that this model surpasses all previous iterations. Its compact size, reminiscent of a passport, represents an ideal design for mobile phones. The battery life extends throughout the day, and the hinge mechanism demonstrates robust construction. The display offers pristine clarity in both closed and open configurations, and the device exhibits remarkable speed and responsiveness. Overall, it is a durable and solidly built phone.

I have had multiple foldables from Honor over the last few years and this year I traded in my Honor Magic V5 for the Z Fold 8. And I am so glad I did. The form factor is far better, it's lighter, the display is epic, the crease is nearly non-existent, the battery is superb and holding the device in the hand is great. It's easily pocketable and is very snappy to use, very responsive and so far, I cannot say enough great things about it. I had questions about the camera but for standard photography, I really can't complain. I don't use a zoom lens so I don't miss the added camera in the Fold 8 Ultra. Superb all round device!

I truly love this phone. The front display is a great size where I can use for all apps and more. The middle display is simply fantastic 👌 and I love the way the hinge snaps giving it a really high quality feel. The battery last for two days which is incredible and the whole devise feel so durable and well made. I have a three year contract and feel totally confident this device will last. The operating system is perfect and has amazing responsiveness. It truly is a joy to own and use. Love the large screen when I'm searching online and the front is great for everyday use. I would highly recommend this device

I have been a big fan of Flip but now Fold 8 is a game changer. I love the screen ratio!! But some app recognize it as tablet and that is the only thing I don't like.

I wanted a smaller phone in length hut bigger than flip so this is best of both worlds. For me, I'm loving this phone, screen size and display is perfect and perfectly responsive as expected. Durability seems all good but can't say much as only had for a week so far. The hinge is better than before on the Fold 7, feels tighter and more secure. Battery is same as always considering how much I use my phone.

​I am completely in love with the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8! The updated, wider aspect ratio makes a massive difference in daily use. Having that extra screen real estate means significantly less scrolling whether I'm browsing, reading, or multitasking, and media consumption feels far more immersive. ​It feels ridiculously lightweight in hand and fits in my pocket effortlessly, yet unfolding it gives you a stunning, tablet-like display that’s genuinely useful. The battery life easily lasts all day, performance is lightning fast, and typing on the cover screen is far more comfortable now. Samsung absolutely nailed the form factor this time around—easily the best foldable on the market!

It is a truly remarkable phone, thin and with a very useful foldable large screen. But, it is still lacking a few essential things, as it doesn't have magnetic wireless charging capability despite the fact it doesn't have a pen like the Ultra that apparently is the cause for not introducing this feature in the first place, it is not coming with a a screen protector for the external display as it used to, no ultra fast charger in the box as the old chargers are not ultra fast charging but barely 10-15 W, the battery doesn't last more than the previous models or any S models. Overall it is not worth the full price but if you can get a good discount then it is a good purchase.

I was waiting for the fold I'm glad finally the thinnest phone is here it's feel is amazing battery life is perfect display is unbeatable extremely durable hinge protection amazing it's very much responsive. It has so many features specially it's AI functions While watching your video you can just hold the video and it will start creating the slow motion and you can save as well who thought it will happening. You can use multiple apps I love this phone

I've had most phone styles and recently changed from the flip7 as I got sick of having to flip it open to use it. The front screen on the fold8 is perfect for 90% of use. I do multitasking on once open and it does it perfectly with 2 apps open. Only gripe I have is on apps like instagram, it doesn't respond well with me hitting the bookmark button or other types of buttons on other apps where the function sits on the far right of the screen, I believe it's a glitch for the wider format for the front screen. I assume this can be fixed with an update 🙏 other than that - perfect device. Sturdy and feels great.

I love the new size of phone both screens are a great size and it is easy to carry around in pockets and bags. I wasn't sure I would like this phone when I pre-ordered, my doubts were gone in the first hour it is so much fun, the camera is great and using it open makes it a lot better, battery lasts a long time, I love the finger print reader is on the side and not on the screen. If you are on the fence try it, you won't regret it. The hinges are great and no visible line on the screen when open. The speed is great and it is not as fragile as you think so I think it will last before I need to upgrade.

The new form factor is just what I've been searching for ever since having a surface duo, love being able to have two separate home screen setups, smaller screen is still positively useable on a daily basis, and when out and about, whilst at home or in the office, large opened screen is perfect for some serious phone time, handles everything I throw at it, which I have come to expect from Samsung having owned several phones over the years, most recently S23U.

Recently upgraded from the fold 7 to 8 and can't believe it has taken this long to finally have a foldable of this size. Not too small like a flip but not too large like the folds, but a comfortable passport size phone that allows you to easily use it when its closed and fits perfect in the palm of your hands. When open give you a beautiful size for viewing videos like a wide screen TV. Perfect for gaming, viewing office documents, social media. I highly recommend if like me, you want a comfortable phone that can slip into your pocket, but also a large screen for streaming films. It's fast, smooth and simple to use. Packed full of awesome features, you really won't regret the purchase. Trust me!!!

This phone is a revelation, perfect size for one or two hand operation. Fabulous display wider than a normal handheld which in my view gives your eyes more to see and easier to operate. Coming from a z fold 7 this phone as come on leaps and bounds, longer battery time, brilliant display and a very responsive operating system in the Android 17 with UI 9. Stunning build quality with a far better hinge. This phone is a keeper for me and I am confident it's durability will last for all of the updates. Outstanding specs, and without doubt Samsung's best phone yet. They will sell millions of these no problem.

I love the phone, the size of the phone, I have had the z fold from the 1st gen to the z fold 7 but changing to the z fold 8 it's a game changer, thank you Samsung for this. The battery is very impressive last me whole day with heavy use and the display is nice and crisp, i love the durability it's got tough glass, I also love the titanium hinge that shows less crease, and the software and top it's a very responsive phone

As an avid Samsung supporter for over 15 years, ensuring I am an early adopter of new technology from Samsung, I am continually impressed by their new release phones. The Fold8 Ultra has considerable form and function and is ideal for phone enthusiasts who live through their phone, such as I. These fold phones have replaced both desktop and tablet usage almost seamlessly. I would recommend this phone for tech enthusiasts and new adopters who are looking for an overall new phone experience.

The best phone format I’ve ever tried. I had the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S26 Ultra, but they are bulky and clumsy. The Fold8 makes life much easier: - small, thin and lightweight: it easily fits in a jeans pocket - great for watching YouTube and reading books - the hinge is less visible than on my wife’s Flip6 - the standing case is excellent for hands-free content viewing It’s not ideal, though: - the camera is visibly worse than on the S26 Ultra - some apps cut off content because of the folded display’s unusual width - it looks fragile and might be very expensive to repair after a fall

The size format is perfect, i feel i only need to open when actually needed. With the ultra the screen is too narrow and i feel i need to open it more than i should. The crease is barely visible at the moment which is great. Not sure how this will be over time. Battery life is good last me the day. The hinge is very keen not sure im confortable with the forceful opening. Its alot lighter than my previous phone so durability is yet to be determined. But with this being so light im worried for how it would stand up to being dropped. With the 1tb 16gb it feel rapid when it comes to responsiveness.

I absolutely love the Galaxy Z Fold 8. The biggest highlight for me is the form factor — having a normal phone that can instantly unfold into a mini tablet is incredibly useful. It gives you the convenience of a phone when you’re on the go, but whenever you need more screen space for browsing, reading, videos or multitasking, you can simply open it up. The design also feels very refined. Samsung has done a great job making a foldable device feel polished and practical rather than just a cool piece of technology. It’s a genuinely great everyday device and probably my favourite Fold so far.

I am blown away by this phone so far. For years I've said the trend of huge phones that just get taller is frustrating. They're uncomfortable and impractical. This is the perfect form factor - so easy to hold, and the large folded out screen is amazing. Most importantly, it's a true joy to use folded as well because the screen is a perfect size. Feels great in the pocket too. So far the hinge has only creased a little so I just hope it's durable over time. If so, it's perfect. Not gone below 50% battery with moderate use on both screens, including games. Samsung, kudos. This is a game changer!

Lovely mobile phone but just getting to terms with the functions.

I'm extremely happy with my decision to get the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8. The new form factor is incredibly easy to pocket and super convenient for browsing and typing, I've found myself making significantly less typos on this than any other phone I've had in the last few years. When unfolded, the phone becomes a great YouTube and Netflix watching device and I've even found some older games I used to regularly play on my old Samsung Galaxy Note 3 run and look better then they did on phones with the now typical tall form factor. All in all, this is a great device and I'm glad Samsung took the risk of making a folding phone in the "passport" form factor. Here's hoping this becomes the new normal Fold moving forward.

I'm loving this new phone, the display is great on the front screen and really comes to life when you unfold it, the hinge/fold in the main screen is totally unnoticeable. The size of the phone i thought maybe too wide, but I was mistaken it fits great in my pockets and feels good in the hand. The battery seems great too as I've had this since Monday (now Thursday night) and have been constantly using it and setting it all up etc. I have only charged it twice. It feels very well made, responsive and only time will tell if it's durability will be enough. But so far 5 Stars from me 😍

This phone is a head turner, everybody wants to hold it and open it up! Having had nearly every fold since the first one, my last being the 7, this version is just great. The battery life and the performance - so quick and instant when moving between apps. Just so cool

The crease is alot less noticeable compared to any foldable I have held. The hinge is smooth and firm enough that you need a bit of force to open or close the phone which is good becuase you dont want a floppy phone. It feels very strong as in durable, i wouldn't personally test dropping the phone but im confident it can survive decent heights. The battery lasts me all day and charges very fast, faster than the fold 7. The inner and outer screens are both great, i primarily use the inner screen and I'm well pleased with it. The phone is very responsive when it comes to any task.

My first fold. Unbelievable device. New form factory takes some getting used to but now when I look at a slab phone, it feels unnatural. New silicon carbon battery is a great upgrade, with all day battery life. Displays are sharp with more than enough brightness. Feels durable in the hand but would definitely recommend a front and back case of some sort. The new hinge feels sturdy and forces itself open after a certain point. The new chip make the phone extremely responsive and handles any tasks with ease. If you're tempted, just get one, you'll only regret not getting it sooner!

I had the Z fold 6 prior to this. The Z fold 8 is amazing. It fits nicely in my hand, and the screen width is so much easier to type on. I would say the only improvement I would make, is to have a stylus again, as i miss using it when I have the screen opened. We'll done Samsung for producing such a lovely phone.

I have been using the Z Fold 8 for a week, I have come from having the Z Foldv7 and I absolutely love the form factor, hands more manageable than the Z Fold 7. Look the cameras could be better, but it's not like I'm a professional photographer either! IP rating could be better but again I've never really exposed any of my previous founds to the elements, like sand for example. I don't think I'd ever go back to slab style phone ever again, or in particular a Z Fold 7/8 Ultra form factor!! Z Fold just fits, it's perfect!! Well done Samsung i think you finally got it right!!

Nice size phone. Very light and thin. Fold nearly invisible. Only issue is with Bluetooth. It won't connect to certain devices such as the hot tub and 17 plate Ford Transit

I love the size coming from a S24 Ultra, this is just what I wanted smaller and can open to a bigger size. I do have concerns about the hinge. Not that it is not durable just that it's not small particle safe. So I do have a S22 for going to the beach but it would be nice to get a hinge that can keep all the small debris out. Having said the negative I'll go back the phone. The screens, the outside one is fine it lets me do what I need to and very little limitations. The inside one is fantastic and super bright for media consumption. The Cameras are good not S26 ultra but good enough to get good shots when needed.the battery last most days all day.I can't say enough about the overall size it is amazing open and closed. Over all this is a 4.5/5 for me.

Am amazed by this device it is perfect for me, as someone who had the fold a couple of years ago and loved the ideas of a folding phone, i just could not get on with the size of the device struggling to fit it into my pocket so had to move to the flip 7. The the passport size came along, yes a little larger than the flip 7, but omg the size is just perfect, the display is great and bright, battery is night and day to my old flip 7 and the hinge just feels more premium and it fis in my pocket. It's the perfect middle ground and know am going to continue to love this phone.

Had the phone for a week and a bit and am loving the form factor. The battery life is really good and the way the inner screen almost snaps open feels really satisfying. The displays are beautiful and I put the anti reflective coating on the outer one and it looks really good even in direct sunlight. Overall great so far. It is expensive and that's the only gripe I could have other than the camera causing it to wobble when laid flat.

I just have it ...it's good but over price also the Camara not grate...overall acceptable.

So far i am loving my Fold 8 .. its perfect to fit in the pocket without being to small to use on the outer screen. In fact if you never open it it is still an awesome device. It just gets even better when you open it to view your media consumption as you wish. The battery life will keep going all day even with heavy use. Ive not tried to push it to the max but i am yet to come up against any issue where responsiveness is concerned. Obviously the device comes with a price tag; but so far it is worth every penny and ive not gone anywhere near its potential

I was skeptical to begin with as to the new shape having owned a z fold 5 for a couple of years. However the fold 8 is a fantastic addition to the line up, it fits so much more nicely into a pocket, and I don't feel I need to open it to take photos. The battery life so far is is tremendous, I get 2 days from a full charge. The display is crisp, bright, and the screen is as responsive as ever for a samsung device. All in all a great purchase. I even bought a second one for my wife, and recommended a colleague get one. Who subsequently has moving from iPhone in the process.

The smaller display of the front screen is a refreshing change in terms of how it fits in my hand when using it with one hand and the responsiveness of app continuity is great when changing between the two screens which is also helped by the snappy feel of the new hinge. I was at first cautious when using the inside larger screen due to older folding screens feeling delicate but the durability has been massively improved. The battery life of the phone is very comparable if not better than my previous phone, the iphone 16 plus which i got the larger size for the battery, so i dont have to be worried about using the new phone for productivity and media streaming all day and still have charge left until i go to sleep.
