How to use Samsung Pass on your Samsung computer
Samsung Pass lets you securely sign in to websites and apps without entering your ID or password. If you already use Samsung Pass on your Galaxy phone or tablet, you can sync your saved sign-in information and use it on your Samsung computer.
Note: This feature is available only on supported Samsung computers that meet the requirements below and are limited to users signed in with the same Samsung account on both PC and mobile devices.
Samsung Pass requirements for PC
Samsung Pass for computers is available only on supported models that meet the following requirements:
- Operating system: Windows 10 version 1903 or later
- Hardware: TPM (Trusted Platform Module) 2.0 or higher
- Security: Windows Hello support (fingerprint or PIN)
Note:
- The support requirements are subject to change based on company policy.
- Currently available only on Galaxy Book3 series (support will expand in the future).
- Samsung Pass account must be already registered on a Galaxy phone or tablet (cannot register directly on PC).
- Same Samsung account is required on both the PC and the mobile device for syncing.
How to set up Samsung Pass on your computer
You can quickly sign in to websites using the account information stored in Samsung Pass. Once set up, Samsung Pass will automatically fill in your ID and password on supported sites for a faster and more secure login experience.
Step 1. Sign in with your Samsung account on your computer.
Step 2. On your mobile device or tablet, open Samsung Pass and scan the QR code displayed on your computer screen. If you do not want to sync at this time, tap Skip to proceed without scanning.
Step 3. Verify your identity using your registered biometric method.
Step 4. After identity verification, tap Done.
Note: Set up Windows Hello if it is not already configured.
Step 5. Install the Samsung Pass extension on your browser.
Note:
- Samsung Pass for computer supports Microsoft Edge and Chrome browsers only.
- QR scanning is required to sync with Samsung Cloud.
- You can also scan the QR code later in the Samsung Pass settings on your computer if you skip this step.
- Make sure that you're using the same Samsung account on both your computer and mobile device.
How to use Samsung Pass on your computer
Sign in to supported websites quickly and securely without typing your credentials. Samsung Pass will automatically fill in your saved ID and password once you select your account, making the login process simple and efficient.
Step 1. On a supported app or website, click the ID or password field, then select your account.
Step 2. Your ID and password will be auto-filled, and your sign-in will be completed.
Note: If the Autofill feature is enabled on your Samsung computer, you will not need to go through biometric authentication each time. However, Windows Hello authentication is required when opening the Samsung Pass for computer for security reasons.
