Push yourself towards the edge of mobile gaming perfection.
If you subscribe to a life of adventure, fun and games, you are likely to fall in love with the hot, new Galaxy S7 edge and S7 mobile devices.

As a mobile gamer, you will want the best out of your mobile phone to ensure you get the ultimate fun experience each time you engage in any of your favourite virtual games.

At Samsung, we take playing games seriously. Therefore, you will also be impressed to know that we have pulled out all the stops to design and build our latest flagship S7-series to make mobile gaming feel as close to desktop gaming as possible. With the Galaxy S7 edge and S7, we have given gaming and graphics performance a dramatic boost.

Super practical features

The S7 has a suite of game-changing features – from water-cooling to a "do-not-disturb" mode to game recording – which makes it the perfect choice for mobile gamers.

These new models come with a 5.5-inch Quad HD display (0.4 inches bigger than its predecessor, the Galaxy S6).

One of the technical highlights of the S7-series is that it supports the Vulkan API for game development. In tech speak; this is a low-overhead, cross-platform 3D graphics and computer Application Programming Interface. A mouthful, right?

Super smooth and fast

Basically, all you want to know is that it gives the Samsung S7 edge and S7 killer performance, making it super fast and super smooth – even when gaming while running the most graphic-heavy games or other media.

Vulkan API's intended advantage further includes many other technical stuff, including running games while conserving battery life.

Another benefit of the Vulkan system is that when games that take better advantage of modern multicore processors arrive developed in the future, your S7 will be ready to support them when they arrive.

Super Cool

Games push processors harder than any other apps. Thus, another major attraction of these phones is "water cooling" – similar to what one might find in a quality desktop. Although smaller in the S7 than desktop, the sealed copper cooling system is still best designed to move overload heat away from the S7's processor when games drive the device to its thermal limits.

The Game Launcher allows you quick, easy access to all your games and the Game Tools, as well as power saving settings. Through Game Tools you can record your games and even take screenshots. Launching game recording will also trigger the front camera so you can talk over the top of your gameplay with a picture-in-picture mode. This way you can share your victories and high scores with friends or your gaming community online.

Probably one of the niftiest features is a "do-not-disturb" button that switches off all alerts and incoming calls. So, no interruptions when you are on the edge of breaking your high score!

Virtual reality

Virtual reality

The Samsung Gear VR headsets, launched last year, are naturally compatible with the S7. These are essentially head-mounted holders for the phone. This allows users to slot their phone into the Gear VR and then watch rich content on the phone's display.

The S7's super sleek ergonomic design makes it easy to hold in the palm of your hand, offering a secure grip especially when taking pictures on its 12-megapixel front camera with dual pixel sensor – or when playing an action-packed game.

The design is also super impressive in that it is water- and dust-resistant. This means you can use the phone at the beach and even on, or in the water. While the micro USB ports and external jacks remain open, internal components are sealed in such a way that the S7-series can be immersed in water to a depth of 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes.

Play like the pro that you are – put the Galaxy S7 to the test.
