How can you adjust the temperature on your refrigerator?

With your Samsung Refrigerator, adjusting the temperature of each fridge component is made easy and accessible. 

If the default temperature in the freezer and refrigerator compartment is too high or too low, manual temperature adjustment is necessary. The ideal temperature for the freezer is -19°C (-2°F), and the fridge 3°C (38°F).

For the dial, the recommended setting is Optimal or **(4). 

• To decrease temperature for strong cooling, set the level to 5-6.
• To increase the temperature for weak cooling, set the level to 1-2.
• The higher the number, the stronger the cooling is.

To make ice in the summer (above 35°C), the recommended setting is Optimal.

• To increase the temperature, slide/turn the temperature control to the right.
• To decrease the temperature, slide/turn the temperature control to the left. 
• During winter, slide/turn the temperature control to the right-most end.

To adjust the temperature, press the 'Fridge / Freezer' button.

First, tap any button to wake up the display. Then, tap '<' or '>' until you reach 'Fridge / Freezer'. Press '' to confirm.

• The fridge temperature can be set from 1~7°C.
• The freezer temperature can be set from -23°C~-15°C.

1. If display is asleep, tap any button to wake up it up.

2. Tap  until the fridge or freezer indicator blinks.

3. Tap '<' or '>' to select the desired temperature or function.

4. Wait for 5 seconds or tap  to confirm your selection.
