Extend your PC screen to your Galaxy tablet

Last Update date : 2023-11-20

Have you ever desired to expand your computer screen onto a device other than a TV or monitor? Your wish can come true! Samsung tablets equipped with One UI 3.1 or a more recent version offer this functionality. If your PC is running Windows 10 or a later version, you have the ability to duplicate its screen onto a Galaxy tablet. Additionally, you can take charge of your computer directly from the tablet's screen.

Note: This feature is only on the Galaxy Tab S7, S8, and S9 running One UI 3.1 and later, and select PCs with Wireless Display running the latest version of Windows 10 (v.2004 and higher)

Maybe you need to show your coworker how to do something online. Instead of crowding around your computer, you can mirror your computer's screen to a Galaxy tablet and let your coworker watch from the tablet. They can also control your computer from the tablet if they want to demonstrate what they learned.

1 On your tablet, swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Quick settings panel.
2 Swipe to the left, and then tap the Second screen icon.
3 Choose your desired connection mode: Drawing/gaming or Video.

4 Once you’ve chosen the connection method, do not leave the Second screen page; it needs to be open to connect your two devices.
5 Next, log on to your Windows 10 computer, and press the Windows key and K key simultaneously.
6 Select your tablet from the list of available devices. Your tablet will remain visible to your computer as long as you keep the Second screen page open.

7 If desired, select the check next to “Allow mouse, keyboard, touch, and pen input from this device.”
8 Your computer’s screen will appear on your tablet’s screen. You can use your computer’s mouse or your tablet’s touch screen to navigate your computer’s interface.
9 Right-click the desktop, choose Display settings, and pick between Duplicate or Extend displays from the dropdown. For extended displays, rearrange monitors easily by dragging. The tablet screen is labeled 2 by default; use Identify to check numbers if multiple monitors are connected. Click Apply to implement the changes.
10 A toolbar will appear at the top of both the computer’s and the tablet’s screen. Select the thumbtack icon to pin or unpin this toolbar. When it’s unpinned, hover the mouse near the top of the page to have the toolbar appear again.

11 When you are finished, select Disconnect to end the connection. You can also press the Windows key and K on your computer, and then select Disconnect next to your tablet’s name.
