How to add and delete music on your Samsung smart watch

Last Update date : 2022-12-13

Ready to enjoy the freedom of a wireless, phone-free, and almost weightless workout? You can play music directly from your smart watch if it has a built-in speaker. Don't worry if it doesn't! All you have to do is pair your Bluetooth headphones. Simply add and remove music to create the ideal playlist! If you prefer streaming, a Spotify premium subscription will allow you to do so as well.

Note : The primary method for exporting music to your watch is through the Galaxy Wearable app. Verify that the music you wish to add is already on your phone first. When the watch is connected to your Galaxy or Android phone, song files cannot be exported straight from a PC.

1 After you've added your music to your phone, open the Galaxy Wearable app.
2 Tap Watch settings, and then tap Manage content or Add content to your watch. Next, tap Add tracks.
3 You can select songs individually, or tap All in the upper left corner to select them all. Tap Done once you have the songs you want.

Note: When moving music, you might need to grant permission. To authorize them, you will get a message on your watch.

4 Next, open the Music app on your watch to access the music tracks.

Note: You can use the Gear Music Manager for a Galaxy Watch3, Galaxy Active2, Galaxy Active, Galaxy Watch, Gear Sport, Gear S3, Gear S2, and Gear Fit2 Pro if you have at least an iPhone 6 running iOS 12.

1 First, make sure your computer and watch are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
2 Then, press the Home key (Power key) on your watch, and then swipe to and tap the Music app.
3 If you see a phone icon, tap it to set the watch as the music source.
4 Now, swipe up on the Now playing screen, tap Music Manager at the bottom of the Library, and then tap START.
5 Next, open a web browser on your computer.
6 In the address bar, enter the IP address displayed on your watch.
7 On your watch, confirm the connection, and then you'll be able to manage the music library for your watch using the browser.
8 Once your watch connects, select Add new tracks in the web browser. This will open a file-select dialogue box.
9 Choose the audio file(s) you want to add to your watch, and then select Open.
10 The file(s) will transfer to your watch. When they're finished, tap OKon the web page, and then tap DISCONNECT on your watch.
1 Navigate to and open the Music app on your watch.
2 Swipe up from the bottom of the screen. On some models, you may need to tap Library in order to access your songs.
3 Locate the song(s) you want to delete. Tap and hold a song to select it.
4 If you have more tracks you'd like to remove, then scroll down and tap each one, or just tap All at the top of the screen to select everything.
5 Once all of your desired tracks have been selected, tap Delete.
