If you're concerned about your phone being hacked, or if you believe it has already been hacked, there are several precautions you may take. For example, never download apps from the Galaxy Store or Play Store, and never click on harmful links in apps, texts, or emails.

1 keep an eye out for pop-up advertising. You should avoid clicking or selecting the pop-up advertisements.
2 Look for messages you didn't send or phone calls you didn't make. To examine your recent outgoing calls and texts, click on the Phone app or the Texts app.
3 Look for unfamiliar programs, such as dubious apps, that you did not download. To uninstall these apps, hold down the app's icon and then tap Uninstall.
4 Check for excessive data use by going to Settings and selecting Connections. Tap Data Consumption, and then evaluate your current data allocation.
5 Examine the battery for symptoms of drain. For example, your battery may be rapidly decreasing, or you may need to charge your phone frequently.
1 Enter Safe mode on your device.
2 Go to Settings, then Apps.
3 Examine the list for apps with blank or random letters in the name, apps you don't recognize, or apps you've flagged as dangerous.
4 Uninstall any questionable applications.

While browsing the web, an ad may appear that attempts to scare you into believing your phone has been hacked. Pop-ups can be avoided by using ad blockers on Samsung Internet. Navigate to and launch Samsung Internet, then select Menu (three horizontal lines). Tap Ad Blockers, then select the services you want to utilize. To begin downloading, tap the Download icon.

Make backup copies of all important data stored on the device before executing the factory data reset.

If your phone hasn't returned to normal, you can do a factory data reset to clear off any installed apps and data.
