Why does the sound on my Samsung TV distort?

What Is Distorted TV Sound?

Distorted TV sound is any inconsistent sound with your Samsung smart TV.

They manifest in various forms and are caused by several factors. They reduce the sound quality of your device and can make your viewing experience uncomfortable. These sound distortions can be due to minor interference in the sound production, reception, and transmission

If you are having issues with distorted television sound, look at the troubleshooting tips below.

1 The issue may be related to a particular channel or audio-video file. Try a different channel of play another video to check if this is the case.
2 Set TV volume between 50~60 and increase and decrease the volume from STB (Set Top Box) remote.
3 Perform the sound test to check the sound quality.

Navigate to Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Sound Test.

4 Check the input connections (HDMI/ AV/ Composite).
  • Disconnect and reconnect the cable from the TV and input source (Set-Top Box/ Blu-ray).

If the distorted sound remains then Try to reset the Equaliser 

1 Press the Home button.
2 Navigate to and open Settings.
3 Tap on Sound.
4 Select Expert Settings then Equaliser.

Note: When you Select Reset, all bar should be in middle.
