Make your smart home energy efficient
Get ready to track your energy usage with SmartThings Energy1 and access energy tips on your smartphone. Keep an eye on the energy consumption of your SmartThings enabled appliances in real-time and track changes month to month. Handy alerts will even give you a heads-up if you are going over your monthly limits or if an appliance is accidentally left on.

Smart energy savings – Washers & Dryers
Monitor and reduce your washing machine and tumble dryers energy use with SmartThings AI Energy Mode1. For washing machine cycles using AI Energy Mode, you can reduce energy use by up to 70%2, while on tumble dryers you can reduce energy by up to 20%3.
1. Available on Android and iOS devices. A Wi-Fi connection and a Samsung account are required.
2. Based on internal testing on the WW11BB944AGB model on a Cotton 40 degrees wash with the AI Energy Mode turned on compared to not using AI Energy Mode.
3. Only available on the SuperSpeed and Towels courses.
Smart energy savings – Refrigerators
Reduce your energy use by up to 15%1 with AI Energy mode2. In Maximum mode, AI energy is always on and in Custom mode, if your estimated electricity bill exceeds your pre-set target it operates AI Energy Mode automatically, optimising the compressor speed and defrost cycle, based on your usage pattern and surroundings.
1. Available on specific models from May 2023 through a Wi-Fi update. Test results based comparing the factory setting temperature when using AI Energy mode and without using AI Energy mode. Results may vary based on usage conditions.
