How to connect, sync or link Galaxy Tablet to your phone

Your Galaxy tablet can connect to other devices. You can mirror your screen, transfer files or connect to your smart watch and other smart devices in your home.

Using Samsung Flow

First, pair the Galaxy devices via Bluetooth. Then, follow the instructions below.

1 Swipe up on the home screen to access your apps.

2 Tap the Samsung folder.

3 Tap the “Samsung Flow” app.

4 Tap “Start”.

5 Select the device you would like to connect to.

6 Select the connection method.

7 Tap “OK” to confirm connection.

8 Tap OK on your smartphone.

9 Tap “Done”.

10 The devices are now connected. Tap the Add icon to share content between the devices.

Using SmartThings

Use SmartThings allows you to monitor and control your home smart devices. Find out how to connect your tablet to your home’s smart devices by following the steps below.

1 Swipe up on the home screen to access your apps.

2 Tap the SmartThings app to launch.

Please note: The SmartThings app is usually located in the Samsung folder on your apps screen. If not, you may need to download it from the Play Store.

3 Tap “Start”.

4 Tap Menu to find the options to create scenes, add rooms and add devices.

5 Alternatively, from the SmartThings home screen, tap the “Add device” shortcut.

6 Search for or select the smart device. You can also tap “Scan” to search for available devices.

Using Smart View

Smart View allows you to mirror your screen on another device such as a smartphone or TV.

1 Pull down from the top of the screen to reveal the notification panel.

2 Tap the Smart View icon.

3 Your tablet will now start searching for connected devices on the same Wi-Fi network.

4 Once found, tap the device which you’d like to use.

Please note: Both devices need to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. You will also need to ensure that screen mirroring is enabled on the other device.
