How to troubleshoot Galaxy Buds FE connectivity issues

Galaxy Buds FE are designed to enhance your listening experience while offering premium sound quality and advanced features. However, if you encounter instances where the audio inadvertently connects to your earbuds even when they are not in use, or your earbuds are not connecting to the charging case, there are a few simple solutions.

There are situations where your sound may unintentionally be directed to your Galaxy Buds FE when you are not wearing them or when you are only wearing one. For example:

  • Music still plays through the earbuds even though they have been removed from your ears.
  • Calls are rerouted to your earbuds when you are not wearing them.
  • You answer a call while wearing one earbud, but the caller cannot hear you.
  • Noise controls (Active noise cancelling, Ambient sound) are activated when only one earbud is worn.

The solution for each of these instances is the same–check where you placed your Galaxy Buds FE. If you placed them on a surface lying face down or they were covered by something else, the sensor may falsely read that one or both earbuds are being worn, which can cause any of the situations mentioned above.

Therefore, please remember to store the earbuds in the charging case with the lid closed when not in use.

Please Note: Charge the case before using it, or it may malfunction.

Galaxy Buds FE have a separate touch area that can be unintentionally brushed when removing an earbud from your ear, which in turn can stop your media from playing. If you wish to turn the touch function off or on, follow these instructions:

Step 1. Open the Galaxy Wearable app > Tap Touch controls.

Step 2. Tap the switch by the Tap feature option.

The earbuds will not recognise the case if it is not charged. Therefore, you need to charge the case immediately.

If the sound continues to occur, check if the left and right wingtips are attached to the correct earbud and that the earbuds are in the correct pockets. Either circumstance could cause your earbuds to not recognise the charging case.

Please Note: If you used the case before charging it, it may be malfunctioning.

If you discover that the LED on your Galaxy Buds FE charging case does not light up when it should be charging and your earbuds fail to recharge, check that the wingtips were attached to the earbud correctly. If the wingtips are installed incorrectly, the earbud charging port cannot touch the case charging terminal, which will prevent your earbuds from charging.

To ensure that the wingtips have been attached to the correct earbud, check that the L (Left) and R (Right) imprints on the wingtips match the L and R markings on the earbuds.

Please Note: The wingtips are the additional components that rest on top of the earbuds.

Once you solve the Galaxy Buds FE's connectivity issue, check the current fit of your earbuds to make sure you're getting the best sound and active noise cancelling.

Step 1. Open the Galaxy Wearable app > Tap Earbuds settings.

Step 2. Tap Earbud fit test.
