How Do I use Google Play™ Newsstand on my Samsung Galaxy Note® Edge?

Google Play™ Newsstand


Note: Screens and settings available may vary by wireless service provider and software version.

Keep track of the news and articles that interest you using Google Play™ Newsstand. Choose your favorite news sources, subscribe to magazines from Google Play Store, and view them grouped by topic or publication.

Set Up Play Newsstand


1. From the Home screen, touch Apps 1 .

2. Touch Play Newsstand 1 .

3. Touch 1 and select My Library.

4. The NEWS tab shows all of the news sources you are subscribed to.

5. The MAGAZINES tab shows issues from any magazine free trials or subscriptions you have signed up for in Play Store. Touch Shop to add content to your Newsstand library.

6. Touch the TOPICS tab to choose which tabs you want displayed in Read Now.

• To add topics, scroll down and touch Add more to open the Explore menu. Touch a category and touch 1 on the sub-category you want to add. In the example below, BUSINESS is already a selected topic, while FINANCE has not been selected.

• To remove a topic, touch and hold the topic icon and drag it to Remove at the top of the screen. The HIGHLIGHTS topic cannot be removed.

7. When you are finished setting up your library and topics, touch 1 and select Read Now.

Use Play Newsstand


1. From the Home screen, touch Apps 1 .

2. Touch Play Newsstand 1 .

3. The HIGHLIGHTS tab shows top stories from all of your selected topics. Swipe left to scroll through top stories for each individual topic, or touch a topic tab. Swipe down to refresh the content on the tab you are viewing.

4. Articles have a tag in the bottom-right corner that lets you search for related articles. Touch the tag to find more articles on the subject you are viewing.

5. Touch an article to open it. While viewing an article, you have the following options:

1 : Share the article using one of the available options. Sharing options vary based on applications installed and features turned on.

1 : Bookmark the article to read later.

1 : Touch View in browser to open the article in a browser on your mobile device.

Manage News Sources


1. From the Home screen, touch Apps 1 .

2. Touch Play Newsstand 1 .

3. Touch 1 and select My Library.

4. Touch the NEWS tab, if it is not already selected.

5. To add news sources, scroll down and touch Add more to open the Explore menu. You can select additional news sources, both free and subscriber-only, to add to your library. Touch Read to preview the content, and then touch 1 to add it to your library.

6. To remove a news source, touch and hold the news source icon and drag it to Remove at the top of the screen.

7. Touch More options 1 under the news source icon for the following options:

Keep on device: View articles from a particular news source while you are offline.

Translate: View the source material in a different language.

Move to top: Move the news source to the top of the NEWS tab.

Share: Share the article using one of the available options. Sharing options vary based on applications installed and features turned on.

Remove source: Remove the news source from your library.
