Change of the Major Shareholder
Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (KS005930, KS005935, SMSN, SMSD) (“SEC”) on April 30, 2021 announced the change of the major shareholder.
- SEC’s chairman and the major shareholder, Kun-hee Lee, passed away in October 2020, and the division of his estate was settled on April 29, 2021. Following the settlement, the major shareholder changed to Samsung Life Insurance as it owns the highest number of shares among related parties.
